Our stay at Nungwi Dreams was such a treat. The staff were really friendly, especially the great service we received from Edson. He was there for our every need during our time at the resort. This hotel is well run and very organized. Truly a piece of beauty.
If you want to just relax Nungwi Dreams by Mantis it the place to go. Friendly staff, delicious food and a superb environment. Edson, one of the staff bought me, on his day off, Diet Coke out of his own pocket, because they ran out of stock. Thank you, Thank you.
I travelled to Zanzibar with my friend for five days and it was such a wonderful experience! The hotel looks exactly as it does in the photos. The staff are very friendly and warm. Special shoutout to Zaharia who is a sweetheart. The hotel aesthetics is stunning to view and such a vibe. The cleanliness of the rooms must be acknowledged and I particularly loved the bathrooms. Very clean and spacious and very well maintained. The pool was nice and cool to relax in. I am 100% recommending this resort! Also, thank you sooooo much for the complimentary late checkout.
Just want to thank you for our holiday. This was our second time in zanzibar. We absolutely loved it. Nungwi Dreams is definitely 5star. Upon arrival we got upgraded to a sea view room free of charge. The staff is phenomenal and friendly. This hotel is perfect for couples (not a lot of children) it's secluded. Most beautiful 2 pools. We had fine dining almost every night, and 2 buffet nights. The food was amazing. The South African chef Lance came to greet almost everyday Edson and Kisa was mainly our waiters during our stay, and never have I received such good service. They made our stay even more pleasant. Greeted us on our names daily. Edson went above and behond expectation. There was no hidden costs, it was really all inclusive, only had to pay tips at own descretion and the tax of $1 per person per day. Rooms was clean and made up every with flowers on bed. Cocktails and drinks was served the whole day. Just wanted to give feedback We are definitely going back as soon as possible. Regards Madelein…
Went with my friends for five days and it was a wonderful experience! The staff are very friendly and warm, and the aesthetics is stunning to view. The pool was nice and cool to relax on. Would recommend this resort!
We had a lovely experience, the hotel premises are very nice and the staff made us feel welcome. The head chef, a South African gentleman, deserves credit for a wonderful variety of meals. We enjoyed the special African dance night as well as the Asian cuisine night
Previously I was a regular breakfast diner at Nungwi dreams but stopped as it just was not meeting expectations. However I got information that a new chef had joined and hence decided to give a try yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. The variety and the quality surpassed my expectations and definitely deserves compliments to Chef Larce. The service was equally Hospitality standard and the service staff who served me called Edson deserves a pat on his back for his efficiency, politeness and willingness to go the extra mile. See you next Sunday nungwi dreams team.
Average in all aspects. We had no welcome at check-in and the stay never improved from then. Rooms, service, environment were just OK at best. The food was very over priced and watery; I feel bad saying this as the head was buzzing around at service, and clearly wanted to offer a good service but the food didn’t deliver at all. WiFi was non-existent, and there was many fittings (including electrics) that were hanging loose and asking for injury.
The hotel is located on the east coast of the island, but it still belongs to Nungwi which means there is tidal phenomenon but it is approx. 10-15 minute walk away to reach the busier section of Nungwi, where you can enjoy the water all day. However, behind the hotel, it is fascinating exploring the ocean at low tide, as we get a good view of the wildlife there. The environment of the hotel is beautiful, very well maintained. The staff is very kind, cooperative, everyone has a good word to you. All our requests were granted if anything had just arisen. What is especially positive is that everyone here really knows English! Negative: The meals are a bit expensive, you can have dinner in the city much cheaper.
It was one of the best stays during our honeymoon vacation, I highly recommend specially the beach front room, in one world it's AMAZING!!. The staff was friendly specially LUCAS. He is the man ( he made our stay more comfortable by all means ( you have ta ask for his help if you need anything) It's was one of the unforgettable days. On the other hand their food is LIMITED According to the timing of meals.and you have to leave the residence if you need to snack. All love to Nungwi dreams team.
