Thank you Makofi guest house for the best holiday. They enjoyed and let us enjoy a lovely 2 weeks with them. Super staff, food excellent, their daily special and fantastic burgers or even salads. Just thank you to my wife and I for a lovely accommodation and even holiday.

We had a great time staying in the Kings Hut with air con. It was a little Oasis in the heart of the hustle bustle. The food was amazing. I booked direct which saved 15% off the food bill. We will be back !!!

We chose makofi as we wanted somewhere affordable and close to the beach. The location was about a 2 minute walk to the beach, passing some shops and restaurants. I was a bit hesitant about sharing a bathroom but honestly this was never an issue, it was like walking down the hallway in your home to the toilet, never any line up. Makofi really did feel like home, the common area had a ton of great finishing touches, like aloe if you got a sunburn (who doesn’t need aloe when you’re at the beach?), the staff will cut a fresh piece and give you a lovely aloe rub down. The swings were also amazing, my partner and I spent a ton of time just relaxing on the property. Our double room was a good size, the bed was comfortable. The staff was amazing! They are all very friendly and welcoming, always around to help. They genuinely seem to enjoy working there and seem to have a lot of fun! The food was also really good, if you book through their site, you get a discount. Highly recommend their BBQ night! Fresh, bbq seafood - yum! The cleaning staff also work so hard, everything is always very clean. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to stay in the nungwi area! …

Perfect and friendly staff, location is a 10 and the food is (for real) very delicious! Maybe the most important thing is that the whole area (Nungwi) is imo safe for men and woman also (who are travel solo)

Amazing guest house with best stuff ever who was always there when i need anything. Very clean and comfortable. Food is amazing and i would strongly recomandet barbeque and makofi burger. I your budget allow thay can arange you best one day safari in the world.

Makofi is really a great accommodation in Nungwi, being situated in 3 minutes walking distance from the beach and surrounded by many great restaurants. You have a breakfast included, it is very good, and their home made jams with the butter are just great. One thing to mention: their burger is the best burger I ever ate. I did not expect a burger so good on the Zanzibar island. Also any of their foods is just great. Plus you have 15% off if you book on their website. They also offer excursions that you can do. The staff is really the friendliest staff I met on the island and they really make you feel like you are part of their family. When you are there make sure to take part in their barbecue. It is a really cool experience. Overall Makofi is a very beautiful place that knows how to run a hotel for people to enjoy.…

A calm, peaceful and safe environment. The staff are amazing especially Joshua. I recommend that place to other people cause it is affordable if you book through Makofi guest House official website and also 15% discount on all food and drinks.
