When you arrive, it's easy to see why Wanaka Homestead scores so highly with travelers. Carol Ed and Douglas are very friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel very welcome in their home. The location is really good and the place has a lovely feel to it and the rooms are well sized and really well appointed. Carol gave us...

If you want to take advantage of the laid back nature of Wanaka, this is the place to do it. Superbly comfortable rooms in a gorgeous timber building. Ed, Carol and Andrew provide a slightly quirky but very enjoyable establishment to unwind and relax. Lovely location a short walk (or ride on the providing bikes) from town and a lovely...

Our group of 7 booked four of these lovely rooms. This B & B is beautiful, and was built with an eye for detail and quality. Ed and Carol made us comfortable in our spacious, clean, rooms. The lovely linens, windows that opened to the outside garden, fan, water in rooms, mints, wi-fi, euro shower, open coffee and tea bar...

Spent 3 days of our honeymoon at the lodge and it was amazing. The scenery was gorgeous. The service even better. We had Breakfast supplied and it was perfect, continental, fruit and the option of a hot brekky! Ed, Carol and Andrew were very welcoming allowing us to use the bbq (which saved us walking to town for dinner 2...

This is simply a lovely lodge, with comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast and comfortable amenities (hot tub, tea & cookies, use of laundry facilities, etc.). It would likely take 10 minutes to walk into town, but there is a nice footpath by the lake, or you can use one of the lodge's bicycles. To top it off, you are rewarded...

I only wish we had longer to stay. It was a great room, with a fabulous shower! We also had a lot of privacy even though we were staying in the main house. The continental breakfast was very nice, but some might consider the price a little high for the cold breakfast.

Spending 2 nights at Wanaka Homestead was a pure delight. The property is beautiful and comfortable and we felt at home immediately. Ed and Carol were great hosts. Ed loaned us free bikes so we could cycle around the lake and they both helped us extensively with our travel plans. Facilities were great including a very comfortable lounge, free wifi,...

The hosts were very nice, the continental breakfast very good, the lodge room spotlessly clean and nicely decorated however, after staying in a variety of other accommodations across South Island for the preceding 2 weeks we felt that this accommodation was way over-priced. The rooms and cottages are situated to form a "u" shape and face inwards to an inner...

My girlfriend and I stayed in Wanaka Homestead Lodge for 2 nights during a tour of the south island. The lodge was one of the highlights of our stay! Our room was beautiful; spacious yet warm. It was beautifully decorated with a homely feel. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was nice. I don't normally use the lounge...
