I was born in Puerto Rico, but must admit I did not travel much. In fact, while living there I never visited El Yunque, the Rain forest; took it for granted. So, I write this review as an "outsider" First, yes, you are in the forest and the temperature is cool. What I love the most was the plants, I...

I have a mixed review. The place itself is so unique, tastefully decorated, open to the outdoors. Our room had a beautiful view, very comfortable bed, everything that you need. After reading the reviews about the road, I was very hesitant but we succeeded with a small 4 cylinder car. We were greeted by Rafael who in the beginning was...

Thank you very much for your review and liking El Hotelito. Sorry you think I an grumpy,,,,I am 67 years old, just underwent three, yes three retina reattachment operations in Miami and was helping my son, who had to run El Hotelito all hy himself for six weeks. First off, this is not a place for everyone. If you have just a bit of adventure in you and the willingness to fall in love with a place - then it is for you. If you are very particular and unwilling to go with the flow - hang out at some in town hotel with room service. We loved...

So this place is one of the most interesting places I have stayed at. Initially I was hesitant when we drove up the drive way. The road is rough. You can make it in a car but better in a jeep. You will probably think you are lost and when you pull up in front you might still wonder if...

A wonderful place to relax after a day of hiking in El Yunque. Great views. Rafael is a great host, good drink-maker, cook and conversationalist. The hike near the hotel was tremendous, too - enjoy the endless tropical flowers on the trails - we were lucky to walk through during a rainshower, which made it even more memorable. And truly...

Rafael is a very friendly host and he accommodated our change of plans at the last minute with no problem. The drive to El Hotelito is a bit exciting, but once there, it is completely worth it. The place is charming and surrounded by the jungle and some melodious coqui frogs. The views over the ocean and the rainforest were...

Spent two nights and loved the vibe. The house has a beautiful open space layout and the views are magnificent. You are seriously in the rainforest so at night you hear the jungle. The road up to the house is a bit rough but we had a sedan and made it fine. Just a side note, there's only one place...

We absolutely loved this place. The road up is rough toward the end but it really isn't that bad (roads in Costa Rica are a million times worse!) The staff was friendly and funny and gave us great recommendations for dinners and future places to visit. If you are expecting to be served drinks and dinner, have air conditioning and...

As a local who enjoys traveling and staying all over the island I consider The Hotelito to be one of not too many in the Island. Quiet and clean place, away from the city noises. Rafael father and son are great hosts who cook authentic Puerto Rican food for dinner. Don't panic in your way up , this is a...

No visit to Puerto Rico should be without a stay here at the rainforest experience farm!- it is just beautiful. We have travelled a lot as a couple and I think this is the most beautifully serene place we have ever stayed. The drive up to the farm is a bit on the bumpy side! but it is definitely worth...
