This hotel was clean and friendly. They got us up to see the Northern Lights! They had a really good breakfast (best that we had in Iceland). The hotel was reasonably priced. It was a good location for viewing the south eastern area of Iceland.

Stayed here for one night as part of a tour group as the hotel is a short drive from Jokulsarlon. The hotel rooms are located in a separate building from the main lobby, and are very basic. However the pillows are very flat and limp and i woke with a terrific neckache the next morning. Had dinner at the hotel... More

We chose this hotel because of its proximity (25 minutes) from Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. We drove from Hofn in the pouring rain and followed Google map directions. Beware!! They are incorrect and direct you to go up a steep gravel mountain road. When it says "You have arrived", you are in the middle of a narrow road with no buildings... More

We stayed one night as part of a tour. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Rooms are comfortable but nothing spectacular - typical Iceland. There is coffee/tea making facilities outside the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful on all requests. Diner was good but again overpriced, breakfast was okay again not the best spread compared to others.

I spent two nights at this hotel. It sits in the country with sheep grazing near by. Rooms were modern and spacious. It was clean and quiet. The view from my room was out to the Atlantic Ocean. There was free wifi but reception in room was very poor. There was a sitting area in the hallway where connection was... More

Stayed here for one night with a tour group. The room was big, nice, and had a comfortable bed. There was a hair dryer and toiletries. WiFi worked in the lobby but not in the room. The room was very hot and there was no way to turn down the heat, but the windows can be opened to cool it... More

We arrived at this farm hotel after a very long day of touring. We'd just ended our day at Jokulsarlon Lagoon and were planning to start our next day taking the boat tour so the hotel has an ideal location. The cheerful staff was very welcoming and efficiently checked us all in. We were part of a small group tour... More

The hotel is 40 minutes from nowhere on Road 1. I had a very nice room but if was around $225 USD. I wouldn't recommend this hotel only because of the high price. Great shower and very clean room. If your rich...stay here

Stayed September 28-October 1. Stayed in the building separate from the main lobby. Room was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. There was no connection to the main area with the restaurant so had to walk outside in the wind and rain to get to breakfast. Strange because there was more than enough space to at least... More

We arrived late after a long drive from Vik, getting up early the next day to visit Glacier Lagoon. We were famished and exhausted, and thought the kitchen was closed, they were kind enough to serve us dinner. The staff was very friendly and gracious. They had good wine and beer and the rooms were comfortable and roomy. I also... More
