Wonderful stay here. Highly recommended! Very cosy and comfortable, quiet and secluded in beautiful grounds and a lovely swimming pool. An excellent base for our time in this area, we'll definitely return in the future!

We were two (American) couples traveling together for a few weeks to various places around France. We stayed at Les Granges Hautes for three nights in late September. Although we had a car with GPS we had a bit of trouble locating this place as it is in a very rural (and beautiful) area. Luckily we came across a woman...

Les Grange Hautes is a quiet, friendly place to stay, set in wonderful large grounds. Our (double) room (Les Oiseaux) was very cosy and full of character. Breakfast was an alfresco affair, perfect at around 9 o'clock with the temperature around 23 degrees. Our hostess, Beatrice, was very attentive and, with my small amount of French and her larger amount...

We have recently returned from a ten day stay at Les Granges Hautes. It is a lovely old manor house with extensive gardens and a good-sized pool. Rooms (and beds) are comfortable and spotlessly clean and breakfast and occasional evening meals are taken in the garden. Hosts Beatrice and Jean Yves are charming and helpful. The location is ideal for...

This is a surprisingly interesting location. The huge garden, the pool, the charming rooms and the central location all added value to our stay. These assets largely compensated for the excellent but fairly basic breakfast and the internet connection which rarely went beyond 0,3Mb/s. Both host and hostess were very friendly and they both did what it takes to make...

We stayed for four nights here at the end of June. Nice room on the first floor with a nice bathroom. the grounds were large and attractive. Hosts kind and helpful. Some nights they cook dinner which was pleasant and good value at E30 per person. the downside was that the place was infested with flies when we were there....

We have visited Les Granges Hautes over the years and this was our fourth visit. We always stay here when we are in the area...you couldn't find a nicer place to stay. The house is divine, Bea and Jean Yves are wonderful, helpful and cheerful hosts and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. This time, with two friends, we stayed in...

We spent four wonderful nights at La Grange Hautes from 13-17 June. The property was magnificent, beautiful gardens and a lovely refreshing pool. The rooms were quite large with a nice ensuite, beds very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful and we had breakfast in the garden each morning. The host Beatrice was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional....

Lovely B&B on lovely grounds. The suite was good-sized and (in addition to the queen bed) had 2 single beds for the kids as opposed to a couch, which is always nice to find. The pool was a highlight! The grounds and rooms are very well-kept and clean. Little odd that there was no soap provided for shower. The hosts...

This is the quintessential French Country Inn, beautiful old buildings set on magnificent grounds, with lawns, gardens, and orchards. We stayed in Virginie, in the main house. The room is large, with a king size bed, a large dresser, wardrobe, writing desk, and reading chair. The bathroom is also large, with tub and shower. It is on the ground floor,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this beautiful authentic house (XVIIIth century) is surrounded by a vast park (3 hectares) and has a big salt water swimming pool (14x7m). Our 5 bedrooms, all with southern exposition, each differently decorated, open on to the garden and have an independent entrance and of course private bathrooms (shower or bath and toilets). Breakfasts are served according to the season near the "Cantou" ( traditional fireplace) or in the garden under the orchard: home-made jams, piping hot bread fresh from the oven and a variety of fruit salad or cakes will be proposed to you to start your day. Far from the noise of the city, only the birdsong can wake you in the morning. You may have dinner on the spot on some evenings (on reservation) : We prepare traditional local cooking ..foie gras, duck ( magret or confits) , ceps and cabecou ..." ... more   less
