A word about the hosts: They have professional management and reasonably automated booking procedures. Everything works smooth and no obstacles are created. The personal communication was excellent, we felt taken care of very well at any time – not too much but at all times responsive, informative, reliable; in one word: perfect! The owner even personally called us a day...

We very much enjoyed our stay on Susak- it "feels" very different to most tourist destinations - the house is embedded in the upper village, nicely designed and spacious for a family. The particular house shares 2 terraces with a "mirrored" flat, so it is ideal when you travel with friends & kids. The location in the upper village is...

We loved the silence, untouched nature, crystal clear sea, very nice and friendly local people. We've also enjoyed the food in the nearby restaurant. The house is very nice and modern but it still keeps all the local architecture features. Susak is the best destination if you want to have a peaceful holidays with lots and lots of adventures.

Me and my classmates had an amazing time in this far-removed island for a week. The people are very welcoming and the place is really genuine. I have spent quite some time on other Croatian islands, but this one is definitely one of a kind. Its flora is completely different and thus interesting. The beaches have spectacular places to do...

We chose this appartment for our family holiday. It is a very nice renovated place. the only disandvantages were: dear for a family, in the upper town - you have to walk down stairs to the family beach, and you share the garden and the balcony with other tourists renting the other half of the house, which was difficult for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Holidays - far from the maddening crowd - sunshine, the blue waters of the Adriatic sea, silky sands, vine and fish...no cars and hotels...this is my dream island. The island was appreciated by the Romans already for its excellent wines, hidden sandy bays, pristine clear waters and sands used for medicinal purposes. Tourism flourished during the Austro-Hungarian reign when doctor Hojs organized a health spa in the Bay of Bok.Nowadays this is the island of expatriots. Over 3000 of original inhabitants and their descendents live in the United States. The island is home only to around 150 local people. But it is slowly becoming a European retreat of house owners searching rural pleasures and peaceful artistic existence. Throughout the year the island has a daily connection with the island of Mali Losinj and the mainland either by ship or catamaran. The island has a an elementary school, a post office, health care center, typical village pubs where you can get famous squids from the Adriatic Sea. The island of Susak was proclaimed a national heritage therefore there are no hotels and no cars on the island. This is a holiday of sunbathing and swimming in hidden bays and tucked away beaches, taking long walks or go trekking, playing cards and other local passtimes with locals, grilling your freshly caught fish in the evenings and enjoying the sunset. And nights are warm and inviting... ... more   less

“All rooms are OK since you rent a house and then choose which floor you want to sleep on. There is air con. You can opt for daily cleaning but we did it ourselves.”
