We stayed in one of the cabins at HOP in early December and it was the perfect way to chill out for a couple of days! The cabins ( there are about a dozen) all face the ocean and are super comfortable and spotlessly clean,...More
In the spirit of total transparency, let me first say that we visited the lodge with two goals: Relaxation and to take a close look at the lodge to determine if it was suitable for the rest of our partners to visit to possible purchase...More
Location is fantastic. Quiet and back to nature.
Staff are great and rooms do the job. Dinner and lunch are lovely and you generally dine with other guests. Breakky was pretty average however.
Fishing was not our day with only one YFT but the boat...More

At hooked on Panama we are all about catching fish. We are located in a remote area with no other fishing boats in the vicinity. We are located on the border of Panama and Costa rica. The best months to fish are Dec till March and Mid april to end of July. I recommend December or May mostly. The cost I could give would be 100.00 a night for lodging, 1200.00 a day for the boat and 27.00 dollars a day for each person for food which includes 3 meals a day. One thing about our company is that we will fish from sunrise and all day as long as captain is back before dark for safety of not hitting logs are other debris that can be floating. The boats are 37 foot long. Fish we catch are tuna, sails, dorado, rooster, marlin and Cubera mostly.
