I was looking for a remote place to work on the book I'm writing when I heard about Yemaya. I've just had one of the most relaxing/adventurous experiences of my life, if you can have both at the same time. This place is remote. Getting to Managua is easy (from many major airports in the US), from there you take...

What an amazing hotel to find on such a small island. We were greeted on the beach by the general manager Ashvin (wonderful man who had just started his new job) and were shown our rooms by friendly staff. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful beach hotel, this is your perfect getaway place. A bar by the beach...

Was just reflecting on how absolutely beautiful the Yemaya resort and staff were for our yoga retreat. The general manager, Ashvin, was so kind and knowledgeable with regard the the island and its history. Felt like I was on the set of pirates of the Caribbean. The food was so fresh, healthy, innovative and farmed at the resort. Highly recommend...

The best way I can describe this experience would be that we felt completely ripped off. So, let me start by saying that we spent a full 10 days at Yemaya. Certainly long enough to truly gauge the quality of service and experience. Yemaya positions itself as a VIP luxury boutique hotel. There are about 16 rooms (all closer together...

Very comfortable room with a view of the Caribbean Sea to watch wonderful sunsets. A great setting on a little island and an easy walk down a path to the small town where you can eat and enjoy the activities. Three people at Yemaya deserve a note - First, the best gal to wait on your table is Haydra Hodgson...

In my original post, I stated we were in Cabin 16. We were actually in Cabin Six. All the cabins are close to the beach bar. The resort is well-designed. You'll have a really good time. Make sure you spend some time with the general manager Ashvin Kumar. He will show you around the resort. I hope you decide to...

My stay at Yemaya was filled with very mixed reviews. The hotel, amenities and staff are all really top notch and deserve recognition. For me, paying for a hotel of this cost, it comes down to the details. This hotel is a solid half hour walk from the town, and transfers there by boat, come at a cost of $15....

Yemaya was an absolute gem on the remote Caribbean island of Little Corn. The flights, cars, and boats to get there are totally worth the trip. Once landing, you find yourself in incredible secluded paradise. We did a yoga retreat with about 30 people. Yemaya's facilities were perfect for this kind of trip, including great beachfront rooms that can be...

We had a pleasant time. We also chose an extended stay of 6/7. Never regretted our decision. Cabin/villa was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Electricity and water were constant. All villas are beachfront. Grounds and beach were kept clean all/every day. Staff was attentive and courteous. We had hammicks in front of our villa too.. You will be "off the...
