My friends and I booked this hotel for 2 nights for a short getaway from Bangkok. The hotel looks nice from the website photos but the reality is very poor. The hotel is in bad condition as it is shabby and not well looked after. The rooms are old, dirty and uncomfortable. For example, ants in the bath, stains on the coffee-making spoons (not cleaned properly) and there was scummy water left in the kettle which made me not want to make a coffee. The pools are run down don’t look very clean. The ‘crystal dip’ pool was dirty and there were many insects roaming the surrounding decks. There were holes in the wooden decking and I saw a person fall through the decking. I have included photos to prove this. Furthermore, there is an exposed pump/filter (see photo) at the beach-side pool which looked very scruffy and not clean. We felt unhappy to use the pool as it didn’t look very clean. The breakfast was fine as there was a variety. Staff are generally friendly and polite but not very proactive. They told us they would send a golf cart to pick up luggage from the car and bring it to the room. We waited 10-15 mins they never turned up so we did it ourselves. After we checked in once we saw the state of room and hotel facilities we shared our disappointment with the reception. They offered to upgrade us to beach side rooms but we would have to pay extra. I was surprised by this as we were not willing to pay more when we were not happy in the first place. We paid 2,500 baht for a garden view room and I don’t think it is worth the money. For this price in Thailand, you can expect a room/hotel of reasonable quality. I would expect this standard if I paid half of what I paid. It is a quiet resort outside of the city with nice views of the sea. It is fine to stay here but don’t expect quality. …
I agree with the previous comment very old very run down beds are terrible hard and yes it is on the beach yes but it's miles from anywhere I mean anyway if you like isolation in a run down cabin and want to pay more than the marriott stay here Signed Foodcriticgazza Ps had 5 day paid for moved out after 1
Not far from Pattaya and Jomtien , but far from huzzle and buzzle we found this lovely resort by the beach. We spent a full day pooling, eating, swimming and just enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Such a Nice place and the food was excellent. Next time we Will book one of the bungalows and stay over the night .
A group of us went on St. Valentine's Night. A glorious location from which to view the setting sun. Accordingly we arrived early meaning to take advantage of the Happy Hour prices. A cunning plan then clicked into action; we became invisible to serving staff so half price drinks were not available. After finally attracting a myopic attendant we got a drink 25 minutes after arriving! Next came the missing menu routine: we were a party of seven yet despite frequent requests only three menus arrived on our table. Eventually enough menus were dug up to satisfy our group albeit they weren't all the same so discussion over choices entailed much flicking of pages. The food arrived eventually; it was so-so. The bill was a shock - the place with delusions of grandeur far outweighing its amenities, was one that practised the sneaky ++ routine: however bad the service, you are still asked to pay 10%! The prices in the menu also have 7.5% tax added also. Had I not been with a party, I would not have paid for service we did not receive. This scam will backfire. On arrival I was impressed by its location and toyed with booking a room for a weekend. I ditched all thoughts of that before my first drink.…
For this price not worth it. I would had filed a big complain if the location wouldn't be as nice as it is. Room service 1 Breakfast 1 Resort 2 ( old and need maintaince ) Room 1 ( old and aircon just work on one mode even after complain nothing fixed) If you just wana hang out with nice beach and not expect any good food or service than its ok but at this price.... Probably way too much . We paid 4300baht a night for premium beach house .I wouldn't pay more than 1600 for this.
The resort located in a quiet area 10 min from Pattaya. I like the private cottage, it's quite unique in pattaya-Na jomthien area. The view is great as the beach is private just in front of. The cottage is not big but comfortable. Facilities and amenities is meet standard. The staff is always smile and kind. The shower, hot water is not so stable. There are 2 Swimming pools however both are quite small. Overall I feel relax and enjoy this place, value for money.
If you want to have a good time with family / Friends or even be yourself alone, this is an excellent place with tranquility, beach, great service and serenity. I do not like the noisy Pattaya, and this place is just the right holiday spot. Walk on the beach and you reach many Cafe and restaurants
Choices are fairly limited in Thailand to find something decent by the beach which accepts our pet dog and happy to say Sunset Village is one of them. Having said there are some restrictions such as no pets in the pool or restaurant areas, which is the way it should be. This a solid 3 star resort with an overall rustic appearance with a nice safe beach. The menu has an extensive choice of western and thai food and I must say the thai food quality was excellent overall. This resort is well out of the way between Pattaya and Bang Saray with no local markets or shops close by so you can either can get the resort shuttle into town or ask reception to call you a taxi. The only complaint is there is no in house spa or massage service so if you want one reception will call a masseuse from outside for 1000 THB - no thanks. Overall well priced and a nice stay especially as a dog owner and will return again sometime in the future.…
my wife and i had a beach villa with views over the bay of Thailand for amazing sunsets. the staff were excellent, and couldnt get enough of our two grand daughters,2 and 4. the facilities throughout the complex were clean and tidy, although an update would be in order. a nice quiet place to unwind after a long flight from uk.
Went there for 4 nights last week in Feb. Very remote but quiet. You are unable to find nearby shops as too far to main road. You can walk a mile along the beach when tide out to get to another restaurant. Room fine. Breakfast ok. Staff very good. Beach where chalets are not so good but better further on but got to watch tide times. Food in restaurant bit pricy. Thought prices for overnight stay bit steep at about £84.
