We had a very good time in that lodge. The location is the best at the beach with nice views and some good restaurants at the street. You have breakfast under palm trees. Everything is very simple but this is great. The price it is totally worth. The room Palm Garden with Beach & SEA View was clean and functional.... More

The communication with the Lodge doesn't seem to work anymore. Both contact E-Mail addresses haven't responded to requests since end of September – before that the contact had been stable. According to their Facebook Page other guests have the same problem. As I already paid for my stay in November, I do hope this is a temporary issue. Can someone... More

If you are looking for a beautiful, inexpensive and simple place, then you found with Laguna Lodge the right spot! The location is directly on the beach and the diner place is right under the palm trees with candlelight by night. The menu is simple but quite good! The menu is written on old wooden doors and you will have... More

Our plane was slowly floating along the endless Bengal Bay coastline of Myanmar's.The land finally became visible, a road winding along the coast, hills and mountains covered with lush tropical vegetation. then suddenly an airstrip that seemed to have surfaced from the waves, our plane slowing down, and finally touching the airstrip. Nothing special, you might say. Such landings at... More

Laguna lodge is a dream come true! To wake up to the sound of the waves and just stroll down to the beach for an incredible breakfast (the fresh bread is a godsend after months of being in Asia and not encountering a good loaf). It's good to know there is somewhere which cares nestled in among all the horrendous... More

Good location right on the beach. No bar but loads of restaurants within 200 metres. Our room was on 1st floor overlooking the sea and beach. Stunning. Comfortable. No tv an a bit dingy at night. Breakfast was good. I did expect hot water for 80$ a night so a bit disappointing. Worth a visit.

I do not like to bag a place, but the accommodation is very basic, run down and poorly maintained, if maintained at all. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if the rates reflected the standard, but they do not. Hugely overpriced. The rest of our accommodation in Myanmar was palatial compared to Laguna Lodge and cost less. The... More

Location: Fantastic! Right on the beach in a less crowded area. 15 min from the airport. Staff: Extremely friendly and gentle, but most of the staff do not speak English which is a real challenge. Price: We had the lower beach garden room at $65. In context, Laguna is the only 'budget' alternative located right on the beach. Otherwise the... More

I have been to laguna lodge in april, in hot season. With the open architecture of the rooms there was every time an comfortable clima in the room without any technical aircondition. For People who like to bee in touch with the nature is a good place, for people who like high comfort standarts i would not recommend. You can... More
