The bungalow is a hidden gem and a place of serenity where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to find inner peace. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and will be able to arrange for you guide tours, hot air balloon and etc....

The room nice, clean and cosy. They also provide coffee, tea, bottled mineral water and a kettle. The standing shower comes with a water heater in case you are afraid of cold. Breakfast and the food were great and delicious. They served some german food too! The room comes with aircon and fan. To my surprise, it comes with a small swimming pool too.

The only setback is they did not provide toothbrush and tooth paste. Luckily brought me with me. If you are chartering a car you are required to pay 20,000 kip each time to cross the bridge to the bungalow.

Moved to these bungalows after staying in a hotel in the main town which was next to a noisy building site! So to arrive on the other side and hear how peaceful the place was was the best thing ever! The owner is absolutely lovely, will assist you with anything that you need, as will her staff. Bungalows clean, dogs and rabbits roam freely which gives the place a real home from home feeling. We hired a motor bicycle or used local tuks to get into and back from town but the distance is walkable, would advise in the day only though as at night the road is very long and dark. A few little restaurants on this side should you not wish to go far. Be mindful that to cross the bridge into the main town you are charged to return each time we we were unaware beforehand unless you use other bridge which seemed quite dangerous the only time we attempted (muddy slippery and lorries coming and going).

A very quiet and friendly place with such nice hosts. This cosy place is a little outside of town but still you can walk there. There is a pool, a little restaurant (even with some typically german dishes) and the perfect german speaking hosts can organize almost everything for you. When we arrived with the minibus from Luang Prabang we just send them a whatsapp and they picked us up in town. The breakfast is great too;) The bungalows are spacious, clean and equiped with everything you need. All in all: Just great!

What a lovely place! Over a kilometre out of Vang Vieng centre, so much more peaceful at night (although there is transport into town for those who want it). The booming music from the party bars is still audible but is not intrusive. Fragrant, well kept gardens a contrast to the urban reek. A nice clean pool and pleasant garden sitting / sunning areas. Our bungalow was the furthest away from the reception / dining area and had a stunning view of the karst cliffs nearby (although all the bungalows have balconies with nice views of the gardens or mountains). They rented us bikes - easy access to the Blue Lagoon etc. Pleasant menu available at good prices. Very nice, helpful people. Train / bus station transfers included and they procured our onward train tickets for only a small admin fee. Excellent value for the quality of accommodation and service. A great place to stay if you want tranquility and beauty.

We loved our stay here. Ten simply decorated but spacious bungalows (4 of them with pool view) with a covered veranda you can sit on. Great setting against mountains background, although some have a (pretty) garden view only. Staff very friendly and helpful. We advise to have bikes, or motor bikes, to head into town (20 min walk otherwise) and to head to the lagoons etc. All can be arranged there. We were picked up and dropped off from/to station which was great. They serve breakfast and dinner. We ate here twice and the food (mix of local/thai and German dishes) was delicious. Only two minor improvement points we noted were that rooms could do with a safe (but the site seems very safe regardless and is locked off at night) and perhaps some sun lounger cushions for the wooden sun loungers at the pool. Overall a really great mid range place to stay if you want to avoid the busy town.

We had a wonderful stay with Lan and Thi Hong. We stayed for only 2 nights as they were fully booked so, unfortunately, we couldn't stay the 4 nights as we wanted. Lan was great with communication before our arrival. She very kindly arranged a complimentary pick up (and drop off) from the station. The bungalows themselves are large and very comfortable, with "balcony", a big comfortable bed and much needed air conditioning. Tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and hairdryer. Very clean. The grounds are beautiful and at the back of the property is a very nice swimming pool, which is lovely for a refreshing dip. Bearlin Bungalows are outside of the town on the road to the blue lagoons and Nam Xay but they provide a tuktuk service to and from the old bridge into town for LAK 50,000 a return trip. They also have bicycles that you can borrow and they organised a buggy for us to go out and about in the local countryside for the day. And Lan booked onward train tickets for us for a small fee. For breakfast, they offer various set menus to choose from and they also offer lunch and dinner from a very nice menu. Food was all freshly cooked, very tasty, and very good value for money. We couldn't fault our stay and we were made to feel really welcome. Highly recommend.

This cute little hotel has the most amazing owners. They literally try everything to make sure you are happy by organizing tours, transport, chatting, pickup from the bus...
Lan and her husband were the best!
The views of the mountain were stunning too, with hot air balloons every evening.
Overall, great stay.

Couldn’t complain about anything really. The staff were so wonderful, Ang in particular. We enjoyed the local Laos bbq that she kindly prepared for our dinner and hearing about the homegrown garden items.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. A fridge would be a really great addition to the room as well.
Location wise it’s a little far out of town so some kind of transport is needed. Tuktuk is available from the hotel but isn’t available later into the evening so we had to walk the 20-25mins back which we didn’t mind.

I usually wait and write my reviews upon departure but my wife and I are so please with this establishment that we couldn't wait. I also tend to provide a few recommendations for improvement but all services and amenities are a cut above e.g. the bungalows, the grounds, the views, the public relations, the food, the animals roaming the grounds = bunny rabbits, the employees and owners...simply great. This hotel is a true find.

Wonderful team at Bearlin Bungalows. I had to make a very last-minute change to a reservation (my fault) and they accommodated the change no problem without any charges.

Really helpful with questions prior and the free pickup offered from the station was also great.

Hi there Cheeky Chappy. To be honest we had a 4x4 car rental so couldn’t tell you about prices for mopeds or boats but to be honest I know it would be very reasonable. The plus point is that the people at Bearlin bungalows could and would arrange all your needs in minutes at a great rate. They organised stuff for us with no hassles, we usually do it all ourselves. I would drop them an email and ask all your questions stating you intend too book there (worth it👍). If you stay ask for one of the new bungalows, they were nearly ready when we were there. Good luck and happy fishing, Bruce and Pauline.
