This accomodation is easy to walk to find food, attractive sightseeing place and tour agency. House decoration with original style I feel like stay at home. There is coffee shop and breakfast next to house that I can enjoy eating there. The owner and staff are friendly to give me advice about transportation back to Thailand. This trip was impressive.

WARNING! DO NOT BOOK THIS GUESTHOUSE I booked here and they had deliberately overbooked and put us in a hotel across the road that was dreadful, and having looked it up was far cheaper than champalao. Complained to the manager and was told that couldn't refund as we'd already stayed in the room across the road. No staff outside of... More

My boyfriend and I had booked 3 nights in Champalao The Villa approximately 5 months before our trip. We chose this guest house based on its good ratings on Booking.com. Once we arrived, we were told that Champalao was fully booked and consequently we were given a room in a different guesthouse on the other side of the road. The... More

This is the 2nd time staying here. Last September, it is the first trip in Vang Vieng. I stayed here for 2 nights. It make good impression for me. Staff and owner are helpful and friendly. One year later, it's not hard to make decision to be here again for 2 nights at the same room type (wood upstair). Coffee... More

Managed to book the 4-br villa amongst my friends for a good price - <SGD30 pp. The "villa" is essentially a private space with 4-br and a common space with hammocks, benches and coffee table to hang out with friends. Lovely space. It's really going back to basics in a wooden lodge, with just the basic necessities (well ok, soap,... More

For me the room is clean enough. I love the small garden and the cafe. It's lovely with some bookshelf that you can enjoy reading while sipping your favorite drink. The location is quite good because it's 5 minutes walking to the town where you can find Lao foods and some souvenir at the local market. What I love the... More

+Great location! Clean and spacious rooms, a great restaurant with proper espresso coffee (and good food), and you will love the nice couple who are running the place. But what really made if for me was the atmosphere. The garden with the sofas and the hammocks are just superb. I also liked that it was quiet. Don't go here if... More

We didn't book in advance as we figured, we would have a look at a few places first. After getting off the bus and walking into town, we bumped into a couple of bar workers who recommended Champa Lao bungalows to us! We followed their directions and found the bungalows, after a bad experience in Koh Rong (bugs etc in... More
