Our itinerary had us booked here for one night but when I checked it out on trip advisor I decided to add a second night and I am glad I did. The location seem a bit far from the town centre but it doesn't take...More

Yes, we took a private transfer from the Riverside to Luang Prabang. It was quite expensive and probably not worth it if I'm honest. The hotel were surprised that we wanted a private transfer when they offer a minibus service themselves. I'd go for this option instead as the journey time is not significantly reduced with a private transfer. It took about 7 hours door to door with a couple of quick stops on the way. The journey is beautiful and you see a lot of 'real' Laos along the way, and a lot of different geography from flat plains to windy mountain roads.
Honestly though, I'd take the hotel minibus over a private transfer. It will save you money and not take much longer.

"best take a room on first level, better views and bit more privacy. Ask for river facing for best experience"
