I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hospitality of the staff. Hassen, a waiter, actually took us to a near oasis and showed us around with his car for free (we offered him money twice but he said we were guests and tourists were not easy to come by these days). Me and my companion were the...

The hotel is horrible. Rooms relatively clean but horribly dated. The bed was broken. Food was awful, although I've only had breakfast. The location is great, and you may have a great view on the beach. Even though I love this city, that's not reason enough to experience once again that awful place.

Stayed for two nights in July this year. Room clean but a bit dated with lovely view of pool, swaying palm trees and sea. Only guests at breakfast which was fine. Eggs, juice, coffee, pastries etc.Organised driver and 4WD to take us out to the oasis at Ksar Ghilane which was enjoyable. This hotel needs guests!

Stayed here for working nearby for 5 weeks. Food was atrocious, cold, same thing everyday, badly prepared and laid out. Staff were OK but never offered anything more than basic essentials. Hotel is shabby and run down, needs total revamp/re-fit and staff training to be like hotel staff, not locals, underpaid to be bored all day as no-one comes here. Pool...

We visited in november, i.e. outside the high season - that means, this giant hotel was almost empty and the prices were significantly lower than in the summer, which made it quite an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious, with a view of the sea but quite cold - tiny carpet on the tiles and the heating was broken (or...

There are two "better" hotels in Gabes, one of them is the CHEMS, which I will avoid! My local contact booked me a "Junior Suite". With the Suite you share your balcony with three other rooms, no privacy. There is a double bed and the room is sufficiently large. But they use dirty blankets, with stains and hair from previous...

During a 7 day trip in Tunis we stayed here 1 night. The building is ugly, old fashioned and not really clean. The seasights are beautiful and the pool is ok. The food is bad and scarce. The staff is really unpleasant (if you talk to them sometimes they even dont talk to you!). I won't reccommend it.
