This hotel, while a little off the beaten path is an absolute gem. The rooms were some of the coolest that I have ever stayed in. The outdoor showers were such a treat the outlook from our room was one of the best views I have ever seen in my life. I saw a lioness and her three Cubs while...

wonderful stay in heaven. One of the nicest ecolodge i have visited. room with no windows and stunning view are unforgetable. Food was excellent and walking safaris were very enjoyable. All was lead by our local ngwesi guide James who had a very brittish sense of humor. my only deception was the lack of density in the wildlife, even thought...

Our group stayed at Il Ngwesi in March for several nights and absolutely loved it! James and Marcus, David, too, were so accommodating and kind. One of those days was my birthday and they made such a celebration! And even a birthday cake! The views from the rooms were magic.....the herd of elephants with babies wandered all around, heard them...

Il Ngwesi is located in a beautiful spot not far from the Lewa wildlife conservancy. The landscape is stunning with view of close-by hills, vast plains and the Samburu mountains in the horizon. The ground staff in the lodge is friendly and polite, and the guides service-oriented. It is a beautiful place to relax. The animal density in Il Ngwesi...

I have visited Il Ngwesi lodge twice, once in September 2012 and again in January 2014. Returning to Il Ngwesi felt like I was returning home to family. The staff on both occasions were very welcoming and also very willing to share their culture and life experience with guests. The camp managers James and David ensure the stay is enjoyable...

We had no idea what to expect upon arriving at Il Ngwesi Lodge and we were blown away by how amazing it was! Being the only guests in the lodge, we were upgraded to the royal suite (yes - Prince William and Kate stayed in this room!!). The room is incredible - like a luxurious private tree house - and...

Our group stayed at Il N'gwesi for two nights. This small 6 room exclusive camp is owned and efficiently run by the local Masai community. It is remotely located on a vast savannah north of Mount Kenya. We were met on arrival by a local group of smiling young Masai in traditional dress. They were eager to please and very...

This place is pure magic, totally hidden from sight until you've climbed up a winding path. The people could not be more friendly or willing to help, and overall, they are very efficient too. For me, the greatest interest lay in learning how the community decided to embrace the concepts of conserving wild life and holistic range management on this...
