Ok, you're in the middle of nowhere surrounded by untamed nature! I'm only saying that in case like me you take your wife who is scared of everything with more than 4 legs. We really enjoyed watching the Gazelles, Rhino, Giraffes and all the other game that visited the waterhole right in front of our tented-room. However at night I...

Our tour group of 8 spent 2 nights at this property. What strikes you immediately after reaching the property is the wonderful location where you can see animals, including Lions, from your tent. We saw two rhinos soon after reaching the property, right outside the restaurant. And on the last night of our stay, a pair of lionesses were in...

Yes, you sleep in a tent. But it has showers, ceramic flooring and flush toilets and the bests are extremely comfortable. We were #6, right in front of the watering hole - gazelles, rhinos, zebras, giraffe and a multitude of birds visiting several times a day, right in front of us (but across an electric fence and a gully to...

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and the staff, (especially Henrietta) were very helpful. The bush dinner was icing on the cake! We all had a bush dinner where we were able to see wildlife in the dark. During the day, there were game drives and wildlife treks. We saw quite a number of beautiful lions, zebras and...

We started our Kenya trip with a stay at the Sweetwaters Serena and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. It is a beautiful well maintained property, with amazing warm service, beautiful views, good food and a wonderful experience. The only strange and admittedly very minor thing I found irritating, is that they force you to sit on the same...

Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in Ol Pejeta Conservancy is one of the best places in Kenya to try to see the Big Five in one visit. (There is also a chance of spotting wild dogs here. We had great views of a pack with young pups while we were there.) It has the added benefits of night game drives, the...

We had not planned to stay here when we visited Nanyuki but are very glad we did. The location is perfectly in the heart of Ol Pejeta Reserve with a magical view of Mt Kenya. We were lucky to find rooms/tents available and picked the Deluxe. (The Standard room was not very appealing; it needs a bit of sprucing up.)...

The setting of this hotel is fantastic. It is very close to the main gate for the Ol Pajeta Conservancy and has a watering hole overlooking the tents and restaurant. The lawns are very well manicured. We occupied tents 39 and 40. These tents are in the 2nd row but are elevated so as to get a view of the...

Family visit with our daughter who works in Kenya. Really enjoyed the conservancy and was able to see four out of the big five animals. Accommodation was excellent with food and hospitality first class. A particular highlight was observing the sunrise over Mount Kenya. Overall an exceptional experience.
