As soon as we arrived at the Wawona Hotel we were welcomed by a very friendly person and that set the stage for the rest of our trip. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful, the surroundings were beautiful, and our room was clean and quite and comfortable. The dinners were so plentiful that we were able to split...

Yes, this is an old hotel--no AC in my room. The rest room outside and around the corner. But--enjoy the experience! Fabulous wide porches where families were playing checkers, people enjoying the breeze in rocking chairs--I felt like was in a movie! Breakfast came with my room--a formal dining experience--kinda fun for a change. I admit it is not a...

The hotel is just beautiful and the surroundings as well. We enjoyed also being off cell phone and wifi for 3 days, what a rest! After quite strenuous walks it was wonderful to enjoy the good dinners they offer. And a drink at the porch first, is a must. The drive from Wawona to the Yosemite Valley was a bit...

This hotel is well over 100 years old, and has a nice historic feel and ambience and wonderful surroundings. Our room in the hotel annex building was reasonably spacious and comfortable, but the bed mattress sagged and sloped a bit which made sound sleeping difficult. However, the hotel was very quiet, so our stay was quite peaceful, if not entirely...

Every single thing about the Wawona is superb! Wonderful accommodations...beds.....bathroom.....and WOW what a great restaurant! Amazing food and wine plus fabulous service too! Perfect location.....half way to Glacier Point, near Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, as well as, near enough to drive into Yosemite Valley with all its waterfalls and major granite cliffs, El Capitan, and Half Dome! It just...

We were visiting Yosemite and were looking food accommodations when this one caught my eye. The Trip Advisor reviews were great. We arrived after a long day of travel and hiking in the Yosemete Valley. It was cold and damp that afternoon. When we checked in, the fireplace in the lobby was crackling and happy four was underway. Had a...

The hotel setting, without looking at the garage, bus stop and store on adjacent property, is serene and restful with expansive lawns. I can't speak of all the rooms but the room we had in the cottage was nicely appointed with substantial and elegant drapery and bed linens although very small with no phones nor TV. The reasoning for no...

Wonderfully relaxing turn of the 20th century atmosphere with Adirondack chairs on expansive lawns and a fine restaurant. The staff is excellent, and many have 20 or more years of experience. Tom Bopp plays piano in the lounge area Tuesday-Saturday nights and will gladly entertain requests of that great period of music from the Civil War through the mid 20th...

Washburn Verandas were cozy and clean. Dining Room was the best of any National Park lodge in which we've stayed...excellent quality, very fast service, very friendly wait staff, fairly priced. Front desk staff was knowledgeable, friendly, warm, competent, helpful. Setting is picturesque. The only downside was the WiFi access - or lack thereof. It is restricted to the Sun Room...when...

We stayed in the Main building. Our rooms were small but the beds were extremely comfortable. We selected a room without bath, with some trepidation. The WC and shower rooms were nearby and very well maintained. In the evenings, everyone congregated in the lobbies and on the verandas. Even in the cool weather we experienced, we loved sitting on the...
