Second trip to Housekeeping Camp; first time with the husband; easy camping set up, take down. I appreciate the tent cabins, stayed warm and even though our site was directly on a corner, there was some privacy. First time for the husband, and he really dug the area. The Merced is overflowing it's banks in spots, and some areas are...

I was worried to come here at first because I had read some reviews on the cleanliness of this place. And I'm not into "roughing" it. I was also worried that there would be flooding. But we really lucked out! We had a river site (42) and it was clean and comfortable. The guys that checked us in were so...

Housekeeping camp met all our expectations except the fact that it gets cold at night even in summer months (we traveled there during memorial day weekend) and the tent is practically open (can be tied by knots but that doesnt stop the cold) .. Otherwise we had a great experience.. shower room facilities are good.. close to the Merced river.....

These are simply cement pillars with two connected to each unit, they have a curtain at the front, your own private picnic bench, fire pit, electricity. Comes with a twin bed and a bunk beds, they will allow you a extra hammock if needed. they're pretty much right next to the river. The Riverside units cost a little bit more...

We had a riverside camp. Each tent/camp had a fire pit for chilly nights. We stayed around October and payed approximately $99/night, stayed for 2 nights. I can imagine staying easily for 4 nights during summer season but it is always difficult to get accommodations here. Staying here definitely lessened the need to bring more equipment for camping as basic...

We bought supplies at the camp shop, light the fire and cooked ourselves dinner after a great walk. Lovely setting beside the river, room to park the car near the site. Got chilly at night so make sure you're wrapped up well and have enough blankets. Great stay.

So, strongly advise you look at photos others have of housekeeping. Odds are you will really love it or really dislike it. If you want to be outdoors and still have electricity and lights, this is it. Though, you will have critters to contend with, but as long as you read a few of the detailed reviews out there you...

I've been to Housekeeping Camp 3 times each time has been great. This is Camping without a tent so be prepared. I like it because it's away from busy Curry Village and Yosemite Village but those areas are easily accessed by the shuttle. Each tent cabin has a fire pit which we used nightly for a family campfire. Having electricity...

We had a river site right by the road... Tents are quite nice with ligths and power outlets, we brought our own heater and that was no problem. Fire pit and table what more do you need? Shower and restroom are old but it still works.

Our family outing was the best at housekeeping camp. There was 12 of us and we stayed on four sites steps away from the river. It was relaxing and the sites and views at the site were inspirational. We can't wait to go back in 6 months. We are hooked.
