The Ahwahnee is expensive, but the view, service and history are wonderful. We stayed in a cottage, and it was truly lovely.. It felt secluded, and was charming. The bed was comfortable, linens lovely, and toiletries very nice. Wifi is non existent. My only complaint was maid insisted on turning on heater, so cottage was too hot when we returned each...

Beautiful setting with easy access to view of Half-Dome and Yosemite Falls on the property; a trail runs behind the property. Many of the rooms on the upper floors also have views. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and sofas. Stunning public spaces with giant fireplaces and soaring ceilings. A must for those who appreciate history. Terrific restaurants and gift...

This hotel is very expensive, and very lovely. We were celebrating my mother's 80th birthday and therefore splurged. We recommend staying in the cabins, which are on the grounds of the hotel, but set in the woods. They are peaceful, spacious, quiet, and luxurious. The service was friendly and prompt, and though some of the staff were odd in a...

If you go to Yosemite and can get reservations, stay at the Ahwahnee. We were lucky to get reservations in a cabin for two nights. It took several tries since they were full the first time I checked which was about two months out. I was persistent and called back about 4 times and finally got a cabin. The website...

We stayed at the Ahwahnee for 3 nights in one of the cabin rooms. The setting is truly spectacular; in a quiet part of the valley with great granite cliffs in close proximity. The main hotel building is in the grand old hotel tradition. Although the lobby is rather small and cramped, the great room is a wonderful space, with...

The Ahwahnee is a must see when visiting Yosemite National Park. The common areas have an old world charm and my room, with a lovely view of Yosemite Falls, was very comfortable and well appointed. Tea and cookies are served every day at 4:00, in keeping with the traditions of the past. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Dining...

My daughter and I stayed here 1 of 3 nights in the park. It is a great location with lots of history but I am afraid it has not kept up with what some have considered 4 or 5 Star ratings. The staff was very pleasant but they seemed short staffed everywhere. The single staff person assigned to the coffee...

Loved the splendor! Through the photos all over the hotel one can get the feel of elegance and true refinement of this splendid classic hotel. What a gift to be able to stay within the park! Expensive, yes; but money well spent! One of the lovliest vacations of my life. Excellent service.

The hotel is situated in the best possible location in the park -- close to everything. The views from the room were incredible, and even better from the outdoor lunch tables. And the staff was great. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The hotel is aging. The air conditioning didn't work in our room, which shouldn't have mattered with the...
