This was the last park of our 2 week CA national park tour. The lodge has a great location right by the Yosemite Lower Falls and you can hear and see it from many of the rooms. The rooms are small but very serviceable with a small refrigerator and a fairly good sized pantry/shelf storage area by the refrigerator which...

The location of this lodge is ideal. That is what you pay for. I visited Yosemite once before and stayed outside the park. I prefer this arrangement. No driving and it allows for everyone to choose their own activities if desired . Tip: it's easier to find a parking at night and once you park the car, your sanity will...

The Yosemite Lodge is the best option if you don't want to "rough it" a bit, or camp. It's not inexpensive and it's nothing fancy but provides a comfortable bed, indoor plumbing, heat (or cooling) coffee in your room a refrigerator and a hot shower! Food is close by in the cafeteria type facility or an more restaurant type facility...

Recently stayed 4 nights at the lodge, had a upstairs room across the street from registration so was very convenient and close to food court, the room is as good as most best westerns with updated carpet, and bathroom had nice moen fixtures with plenty of hot water.Considering you are in the valley and the waterfalls are right out your door the price...

Lodge is ok if you want to stay inside the park. Has everything you need, walls paperthin though, you can hear you neighbors chatting and the tv. Decor needs updating, tired interior. Lighting in the room is terrible, switches in the most unlikeliest places. For staying inside it is fine, I stayed for 2 nights, would struggle to stay there...

Lodging choices are limited in Yosemite Valley. We stayed at both the Yosemite Valley Lodge as well as the Majestic Yosemite Hotel. While the Majestic Yosemite Hotel is tough to beat, the Yosemite Valley Lodge was very nice also. We had a room in the Alder Lodge, conveniently located across the road from the main lobby, the food court and...

We stayed two nights in March. Had a room in the Alder bldg, second floor. That way didn't have to deal with noise from room above. Bldg was located across from the front desk, restaurants and shops so it was super convenient. Room was renovated and quite spacious! Decor was like a cottage so it was very cozy. All the...

This was our first trip to Yosemite National Park. This hotel was not cheap, but the accommodations were great and you can't beat the location. We arrived a little early but they had a room available. The concierge staff was very friendly and pleasant. Our room had a queen bed and a twin-over-full bunkbed which was great for our family...

We had a first floor room (nice for not packing bags up stairs) and faced the north side of the valley wall. A convenient walk to the food court/lounge/gift shop/shuttle stop. Parking was convenient - though may fill up on weekends due to increased crowds. Room was very clean. Room has fridge, coffeemaker and hair dryer. May want to get...

The lodge itself is only "ok," but when you can see a waterfall out your window do you really need anything more? I don't have anything bad to say, but location is the only word you need to know when it comes to this hotel.

“Second floor would be quieter since first floor would hear footsteps from above. If you want a view of the falls, need to request it.”
  • The fancy/schmancy HVAC unit. There is also a wall-mounted heater in the room next to the table
  • Bunk bed (bottom is a double)
  • Tiny fridge under the sink actually almost froze some of my soda cans!
  • Good water pressure and fast hot water
  • Small sink area and toilet/shower beyond
  • Queen bed
