I have stayed here twice and have always enjoyed sitting on the porches of the little cabins built in the 30s. They're plain, but quaint. Unfortunately, this time there were none available, so I had to settle for a hot tub cabin. These are similar cabins, but the only view is of a hot tub and a fence. Xanterra, or...

This was our 3rd stay at the Canyon cabins. The price is inflated. The outside looks run down but it is clean and comfortable inside. No store open after 5 or 6 which is ridiculous because I'm sure families with children need items later than the closing time. These cabins are big sellers because of the location.

Dear soho204, Thank you for your recent comments advising us of your visit to Canyon Village this summer. Comments from visitors assist us in monitoring the levels of service we provide here in Yellowstone. I was disappointed to learn about your stay at Canyon Village. Every year we receive thousands of comments, most of them positive, about the Canyon area....

These cabins are by no means 5* but they get the job done. Comfortable bed, great shower right in the middle of the wildlife! We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

I have been to Yellowstone several times and stayed in the Park each time. This was my first time at Canyon Lodge and Cabins and it is the worst hotel/cabin I've ever been in. There was a line of 6-7 people waiting to check into the lodge in a tiny, dingy "lobby." The three people working behind the reception desk...

This was our second stay at the Mammoth Hot Springs Cabins. We had the same cabin that faces a grassy area in kind of a circle with other cabins. We liked this set up, as you can sit on your porch and chat with other visitors. There are other cabins that don't face each other and are not on a...

I was at the Cascade Lodge at the Canyon Lodge last week. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Be aware the Cascade does not have an elevator. The lodge next to it, the Dunraven has an elevator. Our room had 2 queens. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo. The sink is outside the bathroom and has a hairdryer. The...

A visit to a national park is enhanced by staying in the park accomadations. Mammoth hotel is typical of the in park accomadations in Yellowstone as it is old but updated, but in character. Our hotel room was a standard room, that means we had a private bath, however as in all the park, no TV or telephone in the...

We stayed in the Cascade Lodge. There is a long way to walk to get to the dining area & other facilities. Frankly, for what Xanterra charge, they could at least provide a fridge - & free wi-fi. The room was fine. We got a great soup at the deli. Didn't try the dining room as our experiences Old Faithfull...

We spent two nights in a Canyon Lodge Cabin in early June. It was pretty basic, and from the outside the cabins look rundown. Inside however was clean and comfortable; there was a large bathroom with shower, and a sink outside in the bedroom. There were two queen beds, a single with a trundle and they were very comfortable; the...

These are so well sited in the park and convenient for many of the attractions BUT a) the food shops were closed at 5pm and didn't open until 9am b) the rooms were quite basic - that didn't bother us as we were out for most of the day, but a coffee machine in the room would be a really...
