We tent camped for 5 nights here and it was a great location. We had easy access to all the sites in Yellowstone and were about a 30 minute drive from a store in Old Faithful. Some of park roads and campgrounds were not open yet in early May but it was nice not to have big crowds everywhere. No...

We stayed in Madison Campground the first 2 and last 2 days of a 10 day trip. It is a fairly short trip from West Yellowstone and if the bison aren't walking down the road or the mountain goats are not in sight on the cliffs to the north it does not take long to get between the two. But...

Our first experience here was in late Sept 2015 and we stayed in our hybrid camper. It was beautiful there at night and we could hear wolves and elk at night! The spaces are large and have enough space between your neighbors. There is a separate loop or two just for tents but we had a tent or two right...

We had two great sites across from the restroom and not to far from the river. Neighbors were very considerate, most campers were out early to see the sites. Lots of elk walking through, so get out the camera.

We visited in mid-August so still warm during the day, but cool at night. We enjoyed staying here. Not far from the west entrance. Campsites were spacious enough. Other campers courteous and not noisy which we have experienced camping in other national parks. Ablution blocks simple, but had the necessities. Would camp here again

We tent camped during July and were pleased with the site; it was sufficiently large to accommodate our family tent and fairly close to the restrooms and water spigot. In our location, we felt we had privacy and enough space from the other sites. The restroom facilities were adequate and similar to other National Parks. Nothing great, but the restrooms...

Busy site and one of the very few open in October. We had an RV and it cost us $26 for one nights stay. There are no showers and no services, generators off from 8pm-8am so for this I found it to be a pricey parking spot! You are however staying in Yellowstone park and you are free to wander...

Beautiful setting. Lots of elk grazing along river. Beautiful setting to go fishing (and get skunked!) it was 28 degrees Celsius and the next day it was minus -2 degrees and snowed 4 inches (sept 9/10). Great campground for in park.

True, the grounds do not have showers, but if I wanted that I'd get a motel, which defeats the purpose of CAMPING. It had a heated restroom, which was nice. Some folks complained of generators, but they must be shut down from 10pm to I think 6am. We had no problems with noise. The staff was wonderful. I have no...

We camped her in September. Convenient spot to base and explore the park. Easy to get to best attractions especially Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin. Campground is great with clean toilets, firepits, excellent Ranger program in the ampitheatre at night.
