I had the pleasure of staying at The Flatiron Historic Sandstone Inn last summer 2012. The Flatiron is a beautiful historic building in Hot Springs, SD in the southern Black Hills. Hot Springs is a rather laid back small town with lots of history and a beautiful river flowing right through the middle of town and directly across from the...

We stayed at the Flat Iron in July of this year. The room was nice and spacious. The booking arrangement was a little odd and we were "moved" to another space after our initial booking. So even though we got a nice room the booking experience wasn't great. It was an incredibly hot week during our stay and our room...

The rental arrangements are a little different, the building is a hundred years old and the place comes with a resident rooster that crows on Eastern Time. Newer facilities are available just a few blocks away, but Suite #3 at the Flatiron worked great for us. It comes with some slightly slanted floors, a unique layout and is on the...

The purpose of this review is not to necessarily discourage anyone from staying here, but just to let them know what they're getting into. Let me state upfront that the property was exactly as described in terms of rooms, furnishings and amenities. So, if you're like our traveling family of four, just desperate for a chance to spread out a...

This was probably on of the most charming and unique places we have ever stayed. The decor is not your typical hotel fair it is more like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. We were origanally were suppose to stay in a smaller room but asked to switch our travel date and she upgraded us to a premeire room...

We booked a room in January for us and our two children for a June vacation. June 1, we received an email that advised they had given our room to someone else who had booked for a longer period than us (i.e. we got bumped for more money). But, we were told in the email that the "Good news for...

Like having a private apartment on vacation. My brother & sister in-law were traveling with us and it was perfect! Walked to restaurant down the street & visited Mammoth site next day. Great coffee shop for breakfast in the Inn.

Spacious room with lots of sun. Overlooked courtyard. Well equipped. On second floor, so you must carry luggage up. Good location, very clean, and a nice break from cookie cutter hotel rooms.

The FlatIron was a fun place to stay, it is a few rooms located above a coffee shop which is full of character. The rooms were very nicely decorated and clean. Our room had a kitchen area which would have been useful if we were staying more than one night. The beds were comfortable and the entire room was clean....

The Flatiron Guest Suites made for a very pleasant stop in Hot Springs. The staff are very welcoming , helpful and accomodating. They truely treat you as guests. Georgia from reservations told us all we wanted to know about the local attractions. The food served in the restaurant was a very nice surprise....very innovative and tasty dishes. Their white chicken...
