I have stayed at this hotel many times since the 1970s. My dad was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan, so we spent many summer weekends in Cincinnati at this hotel and at the Terrace Hilton. At that time the hotel had been refurbished and was beautiful. The lobby and Palm Court area are still beautiful and are an art deco aficionado's dream. The hotel was built starting in 1929 and everywhere you look there are amazing art deco touches. The downside is, I don't think the rooms have been touched since I stayed there in the 70s and 80s. The bathrooms are dingy, the furniture, and carpet needs replaced, and it just needs a good freshening. Our room was relatively clean, but there was lot of lint and dust around the nightstand, and the bathroom had some mold on the tile and a layer of dust all around the top of the tile in the shower. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed that Hilton has let this hotel go obviously a long time without the care and maintenance it needs. It would be a travesty to let this hotel deteriorate to the point of closing. This hotel should be preserved, at all costs. Nothing like this will ever be built again. I hope in the near future Hilton will invest some money into restoring it back to what it once was, and could continue to be.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed at the Hilton a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing experience! We had a very rough day of travel and Monique who greeted us at the front desk and checked us into our room helped turn our day from a really bad one to a good one. Her dinner recommendations were spot on and just her knowledge of the hotel and the city were incredible. Room was clean, was a nice sized room, and had a great view! Hotel was close to so much in the area! We had breakfast at the restaurant the next morning and while not buffet giving the times it was very good. The overall beauty of the hotel was phenomenal and that every single staff member of the hotel was so approachable and helpful ensures we will stay again! Only suggestion would be to have better signage for the parking garage that is for the Hilton.

the shower didn't work, luckily the roosterwas replaced, the room and the beds were not made regularly. The staff at registration and in the restaurant were mostly unfriendly. The welcome culture was missed and the staff wasn't afraid to deal with non-American guests. The hotel was built in 1931 - a historic hotel - you could tell - a renovation would be very necessary. Breakfast was poor - however the hotel is well situated in the city.

I absolutely love the historic architecture and ambience of this hotel. It's identity is so well preserved and doesn't take away from the comfort, service and amenities provided. Although front desk was not always responsive, and they lost s gift that a colleague left me from traveling overseas, it was a pleasant experience and central to many restaurants and the convention center in the city.

Like a fading beauty, looks good from far away, up close it’s a big old mess. We reserved a queen room, it’s a full/ double bed-my husband is over 6 feet, room was VERY small, looked clean enough until we found the previous occupants soxs thrown into a corner, bathrooms are tiny although clean. Parking is a nightmare and expensive, good luck finding the right entrance. I’m sure back in the good old days this place was nice, but the good old days are long gone here at this particular Hilton.

A conference was scheduled in this hotel; the meeting space and the meals provided were excellent. The building is impressive with archectical significance and worth touring/visiting. Our room was not maintained/refreshed during the 5 day stay despite asking it to be. The safe did now work; there were missing light bulbs in the lights; and the internet was horrible.

The only redeeming quality about this place is the cupcake shop in the lobby. The rest of it sucks. From the literal threadbare towels (which we called housekeeping twice to ask for extras and never received), to the lack of hot water in the shower, slow to drain bathroom sink, and let’s not even start about the red stains on the carpet in our room. Dust gathered around the bed frame on the base of the bed, and as other reviews have mentioned, the smell of weed throughout the entire hotel. Even though it’s allegedly a non smoking hotel. We couldn’t escape fast enough in the morning and rolled out before the sun came up. If it wasn’t the night of a football game, I would have sucked up my losses and looked for another place but everything was booked solid. Conrad Hilton would be ashamed to have his name on this place. Do yourself a favor and consider other options.

Was here for a conference with a large group. I’ve been pretty loyal to Hilton over the years but that means nothing at this property. You’ll get the same tired old room as everyone else. I never saw a housekeeper the entire tome I was here and was only given two small towels for a 3 night stay. The furniture was faded, the hot water took several minutes to get to lukewarm, and my internet connection was consistently around 3-5 Mbps at best. And every morning I had to endure loud knocking sounds emanating from the end of the floor. Several of my colleagues joked that they were here a few years ago and it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since. We won’t be coming back. I tried to get an extra 30 minutes to checkout (checkout is 11am) and they refused.

We had stayed at this hotel several years ago and it was a wonderful experience. I would agree with the other reviews, it is old, tired and worn. I understand we've all been through a lot with COVID and short staffing issues, but this is a whole lot more than that. I've stayed at many hotels recently and have not run into issues like these. Previously stated, GPS will take you to the valet garage exit, not the entrance side of the hotel. The valet is a separate service/separate company and you must pay for your stay upfront t $40 per night, not a big thing but they make such a huge point of letting you know they have nothing to do with the Hilton that it's almost weird. Walking down the hallway to our room somebody disposed of a rubber glove and a plastic bag on the hallway floor, it was literally there two days without being picked up even though you would see the housekeeping staff and their carts in the hallway. The hallway reeked of pot, not the hotels fault, but it was like that for a couple days until apparently our pot smokers left. The carpet throughout the hotel was stained in many places, and the carpet in our room was just plain dirty. The chairs in the conference room had definitely seen better days. The bar was roped off around 5pm on a Saturday because they were "over capacity", though they were a lot less full at that point than many other times throughout the days we were there. The bar staff appeared to be short staffed most times we were there, and you can tell their shortages seemed to be taking a toll on the staff. There were some staff members that you could tell tried really hard to do a good job, but calling for a bellman and two and a half hours later they still don't show up? If you stay here not expecting or needing much, you will be fine. It is certainly not what I would expect from a Hilton brand.

Physically is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. Art Deco at its very best! Only breakfast and dinner served in the bar area. No room service. Had one dinner and one breakfast in-hotel and the food was quite good. Waitstaff was helpful, pleasant, etc. No Housekeeping unless request given 24 hours in advance - I was unable to even get a plastic trash bag or an extra roll of TP "off hours." WiFi is almost nonexistent, and impossible to keep connected if/when it does connect. Never got an answer to calls to front desk, housekeeping or bell desk on numerous attempts over my 4-day stay. Room was clean but "old" and "tired," Also room had a lot of mechanical issues: tub drained very poorly, TV remote did not work, bedside lamps broken with wires visible, ceiling cracked from apparent water damage, GFI in BR did not work [and hence neither did makeup mirror]. Evening manager named Stephen was barely civil, if that, to many guests not just me. Had NO suggestions etc on how to fix problems. "That's just the way it is" e.g., needing to ask housekeeping 24 hours in advance for a trash bag. In sharp contrast, daytime front desk staff were fabulous. Definitely NOT a usual Hilton experience.
