This is an exceptionally clean and beautiful hotel. You will be extremely, pleasantly surprised. Kristal at the front desk is wonderful and professional and friendly and very competent!! And Ondrea at the Hampton Inn on the other side is so helpful she found my AirPods and secured them. She is a beautiful person, friendly and happy!! We are so happy we stayed here. Use the valet as I believe it’s one or two dollars cheaper than Self park.

The hotel is older. I was there for three weeks. Moving in and out was really bad. Check in is not at street level. The rooms are somewhat homey. The staff is great. There was one lady that wasn’t quite as nice, but she wasn’t there much. The refrigerator was a big plus. I didn’t use the stove, but it was appreciated. The best thing about this hotel was the location!!! It’s very walkable.

I used the Hilton app to check in and select a room. After selecting a room, my credit card was charged an additional $40 on top of the room fee with no explanation as to why. I called to inquire about this additional charge and the first person I talked to didn't have an answer and sent me back through the phone tree where I got someone else to tell me that it was a security deposit that would be taken off once the charge was finalized. We arrived at the hotel at midnight. The only option was valet parking at $42/ night, however, there was only one valet attendant and she wasn't present immediately. After a few minutes, she turned up and gave me a ticket with a QR code that could be used to text them to get my car. The main entrance was blocked off and we entered through a side door to the first floor area with only elevators. The elevators would only operate with a key card, which would be inconvenient because you would need to get one from the check-in on the 2nd floor. Fortunately, the Hilton app allowed us to "unlock" the elevator - super high tech for such an old building! Once we got to our room, it was ready except that there were no washcloths. There was also no soap for the shower - only body wash. Because it was so late, we decided to not talk to housekeeping about getting us additional washcloths, so it is unknown if they would have supplied them to us. There was also no clock radio present, so the only option is for them to give you a wake-up call. The room faced Vine St which seems to stay busy even from midnight on - the noise wasn't too bad except for the occasional motorcycle or insanely loud car stereo. The next morning, our showering caused water to puddle on the floor outside of the shower. Otherwise, the quality of the room wasn't too bad, but for the high rate we paid, I would have hoped for something better. There is a free hot breakfast provided, which was good. The 2nd floor lobby where the breakfast area and front desk were located looked far better than our room. Upon leaving, we used the ticket we were provided to summon our car for the valet, but got a message that our ticket could not be located, so we ended up needing to report in to the valet desk to get them to retrieve our car. The valet who helped us was a nice young man who was the most professional person in this hotel. He stated that our ticket number didn't get entered correctly as the explanation as to why the QR code didn't work. This was only our 2nd stay at a hotel since the pandemic started, with our lone other stay at a different Hilton chain. The overall quality of both stays was way below my expectations for a Hilton brand hotel. This stay was especially concerning because of the sky-high price that we paid.

Thank you for your recent stay at our hotel. We are very sorry to hear you had a negative experience. We are also sorry to hear that you were not provided with the proper information upon check in. We have an incidental hold of $40 per night which is pretty standard in the hotel industry. If is for room charges, parking, and damages that might occur. The hold falls off after checking out as long as there is nothing charged to it. Also, there are other options for parking aside from Valet. The parking garage next to the building is self-park as well as valet. There is also a parking garage across the street and one catacorner to the hotel. Covid has really done a number on the industry but that is not an excuse we like to use. The property just recently transitioned to new management, and we are diligently working on getting this property up to Hilton standards. We hope if you are ever in the area again you will give us another chance to make a better impression.

On busy weekends the rates downtown are high. We drove 4 hours only to find Homewood didn’t have a room until after 5. Nothing was offered such as parking to make up for their issue with having rooms available by the 4 o’clock check in time. We had a concert and dinner planned and no room to get ready. Think they need to up their customer service

I used point for my stay. When I checked out the hotel charged the full amount of the stay on my credit card. In addition to charging me a security deposit and one more charge. The hotel manager was less than helpful. She said she would not do anything for the inconvenience.

Stayed here when passing through Cinci after a visit to family in Columbus. It was fine. Some interesting historic details and the room was clean, but pretty dated. Hoped to find a bar with good atmosphere within walking distance where we could grab a cocktail. There wasn’t much to see in the immediate neighborhood on a Saturday night. We went to the bar that seemed to be the hotel bar, adjacent to toe Hilton brand hotels. Service was indifferent, and the only food they were serving from the menu was spinach dip. Next morning, we grabbed coffee from the coffee shop in the hotel and it was a nice place with good service. Valets were great.

Let me start by saying, I loved the town and the people are beautiful!!! But this hotel...not so much. It's old and musty and dirty (elevators, hallways carpets), cracked glass (revolving door). They spent all the money on the 2nd floor, lobby area and breakfast areas are stunning. The rooms...soiled carpets, the shower stall was so nasty I refused to stand in it without a towel under my feet---even after I cleaned it (yes, I travel with my own toilet paper and cleaning wipes). The bedding is old and thread bare, for 2 days I asked for trash pick and clean towels and NEVER got either. But, on my checkout day no less than 3 people knocked on my door to find out when I was checking out. Room was either cold or hot, thermostat would not register. WATCH your bill, $15 snack bar charges kept appearing AND everytime I looked at my credit card there were large amounts showing as pending, when I inquired about it, the response was "those will drop off and you will only be charged the correct amount". I'm still waiting to see what posts on my bill. Pillows are nothing but lumps, mattress is saggy. Great part is it's in a good area for walking to most things, and like I said staff/people are great. But, I do not recommend this spot. I was only in town for the game, Cincinnati is not a place i'm most likely to go back to and if I do, it won't be to this hotel. Stay Away.

After filling out the hotel survey with the details below I received a 'form letter' response. Disappointing. Suite was clean and spacious. There were no forks, 1 spoon, no glasses and 1 coffee mug in the kitchenette. Bathroom sink was slow draining. The thermostat would not regulate, it was a sauna all night. The queen mattress is not the standard width of 60", at best 55". Staff was nice and professional.

I'd avoid this one. As other reviews note, the hotel is dated and could be cleaner. Walls in the room were scuffed, and I believe that I saw mold near the floor of the shower. Carpet in hotel hallways is dirty and torn. Sheets on the beds feel old and in need of replacement. The hotel advertises an evening social on its website and on signage in the hotel. Despite that, it's not actually offered. When I eventually found a staff member, they informed me that they only do evening socials on Tuesdays now due to COVID. Given that the hotel has been grappling with COVID-related changes for nearly 3 years, they should have updated signage and website language by now. thought the location was very good. You're a block from Fountain Square and several other downtown amenities. All that said, you can find much better options in downtown Cincinnati. Nothing was outright awful here, but I can't describe anything as particularly good beyond the location. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I was in the food area and a guy panhandled me for $20. Who knows how he got access, but there are a lot of homeless people in the area and you can enter the lobby of the hotel on the first floor and gain access to any floor without passing the front desk. This is especially dangerous for a single person concerned about security. This guy was eating a feast of cereal so I guess he was happy. We could not get into our room till 5 pm and we did not get the room we reserved. We were exhausted. The lights in the room did not work so when I went to the front desk, the front desk person (some young guy with a beard who looked like he slept in his clothes) was really rude. I went back to the room and had to go into the breaker panel and find breakers that were switched off. I got the lights working finally. The breakfast food featured canned peaches and soggy cold eggs. We got there early on the second day and they were clearly left over from the day before. Mostly, if you are concerned about your security, avoid this place.
