This hotel is one of the most incredible and interesting hotels you could possibly stay at.
The artwork at the hotel is absolutely top notch. I was just at the Smithsonian last month and saw several works at the hotel by the same artists who have works in the galleries in our nation’s capital. That is so amazing to me.

People at the hotel were so friendly and professional. The valet parking works were busting their tails to get cars for everyone. Hotel staff was accommodating and gracious.

Our son is obsessed with penguins. When Betty heard how much he loves penguins she gave him a penguin today! He took it to the zoo to see the real penguins and was so excited about that.

I cannot say enough kind words about the hotel. If you are wondering if this hotel is worth it- it is worth every penny!

My first stay at this boutique hotel and I loved it. The art was amazing, but the rooms were even better.

The room was very large, clean, and nicely appointed. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud! The bathroom floor was heated and the walk-in shower was large with Rookwood tiles of body parts. The turn-down service was unexpected as were the chocolates left on the night stand, but quickly consumed.

Even thought the location is in the central business district, surrounded by restaurants, across the street from the Aronoff Theater, once you get on the elevator and off the first floor, the hotel is as quiet as a mouse. Which was much welcomed and appreciated.

The 21 C Museum Hotel is a hip boutique hotel nestled across the street from the Proctor and Gamble theatre. Efficient valet with a friendly front desk check in experience. Cool artwork throughout on the 1st and 2nd floor. Room was comfortable and spacious but we had no view to speak of as it looked out into a brick wall. The nice sized bathroom had Malin & Goetz amenities that we actually enjoyed using. Great walk to access to some great restaurants close to hotel made it a perfect location for dinner and a show.

This is a very unique hotel, and we were excited about staying here. The check in process was good and we were explained everything the hotel had to offer. Because we were only staying one night over MLK weekend, we were limited in what could actually be available.

When we got to our room, several things were slightly a-kilter. First off, no wastebasket in the bathroom. We had never seen that before. The room was quite drafty from cold air blowing through the old window even with a pseudo storm window on it. Later we discovered the bed had a definite tilt away from the window. Closest to the bathroom, so probably most individuals would sleep on that side. Hard to set up our suitcases. But the sheets were nice and soft.

I suppose we could have requested a different room, but we were only staying one night. We thought we could tough it out. Bad choice as we actually did not sleep that well.

The Art was very cool and we liked that aspect of the hotel.

Our experience was disappointing. We just had higher expectations.

I hate to leave a negative review as I really wanted to love this place. It’s such a great concept and I had heard very good things about the chain. However, there were unfortunately a lot of little (and not so little) nuisances that occurred that made me feel like we made a mistake booking at the 21c Museum Hotel.

First let me share what I liked. The museum concept was really cool and the free curated tour (with a free drink included) was a nice touch. The location was A+ and the staff was really nice. The free bikes available to guests is wonderful amenity.

But with small rooms and a terrible view of wall (with what we were told was a two category upgrade), we expected better attention to detail for the money we paid.

There was no trash can in the bedroom and no maid service during our stay. We specifically requested with the front desk our second morning that they have someone clean our room as there was a pile of trash accumulating without the trash can. We were assured they would send someone (and we double checked to make sure the do not disturb sign was off the door), but when we arrived back to our room in the evening, no one had stopped by.

We called down that evening to request that someone run up some items we had delivered as well as fresh towels and new coffee pods. The woman at the front desk told us they had no staff who could do that and that we’d have to come down to the lobby ourselves. Really? Maybe at a Motel 6, but I expected more from a premium hotel chain.

And lots of little details missed. Four flat tires on the two bicycles we took out. One of our bedside lamps had been disconnected. Our cell phone was having trouble and we had to use our room phone to make a domestic call - I don’t mind being charged if the call connects, but it’s ridiculous to be charged over $4 each time we dial but no one picks up (unfortunately over the course of a few days my son tried to reach his mom with no success and we had over a $40 bill to show for one single connected call.

Maybe I’m being too harsh about these details but having a dirty room and a staff who refused to come to our room left me with a bad taste in my mouth. This may be normal at limited service hotels, like a Holiday Inn, but at these prices, I expected more from my money.

a great hotel in downtown Cincinnati, great location within walking distance to many attractions. The hotel is an adaptive reuse of a historic building with an art museum on the ground floor by local artist. The staff was very inviting and friendly, and took precautions with temperature testing and cleanliness throughout the hotel. The room was very attractive and comfortable, a great gym on the lower level. Parking is valet for $38, but there is public parking at the corner for $18. We were here from Friday night to Sunday so the public parking was not crowded. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Called to book a room in a hotel block for a wedding I was in, after a few minutes of them telling me it was too late and they had no rooms, despite showing available rooms online, they said there was a deluxe king I could have and “it’s probably one of our crappy rooms” is what the employee told me. So what would have been $330 without the discounted block rate, is what the consider a “crappy room”. Why would a hotel employee say that to a paying customer?

Front desk was very rude upon getting to the hotel early to get ready for the wedding when multiple bridesmaids asked if they could let us know if any early check ins were available. Said they would call the room but it won’t happen and did not even get our names. After the wedding we came back around 1045 to go to their rooftop bar and it was closed because it was “too cold”. Then tried the lounge and it was closed. The room refrigerator was out of service “due to covid” but reminded us their store was open. There was four weddings total that had blocks at this hotel this weekend so getting our cars that were valeted in the morning in the pouring rain was an absolute cluster and disorganized. Would not recommend this hotel and won’t be coming back.

I took my husband here for a weekend get away for his birthday. The hotel was wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. We had a couples massage in the spa which was fantastic! The location of the hotel is perfect - you can walk to just about anything. When we returned to our room there was a complimentary dessert waiting for his birthday that they provided all on their own (I must have told them it was his birthday when booking the room). The room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

I give this hotel a 5 star review. The service is impeccable! The rooms were so clean! The gym was great!

One morning We wanted to walk to a restaurant for breakfast and were offered an umbrella because they heard it might rain. Another time We walked in from being out and a bottle of water was offered immediately. We were greeted when we left and greeted when we came in. They are taking all precautions when it comes to Covid-19, temperature check , mask, hand sanitizer and wipes. I can’t say enough about this hotel!

We entrusted the 21C for our daughter's wedding. They not only handled all the details, they put us in beautiful suites for our overnight stay and even recommended a hair and make-up artist to come to the hotel to get us ready. From this mother's heart, a very sincere thank you!
