This hotel is one of the most incredible and interesting hotels you could possibly stay at. The artwork at the hotel is absolutely top notch. I was just at the Smithsonian last month and saw several works at the hotel by the same artists who have works in the galleries in our nation’s capital. That is so amazing to me. People at the hotel were so friendly and professional. The valet parking works were busting their tails to get cars for everyone. Hotel staff was accommodating and gracious. Our son is obsessed with penguins. When Betty heard how much he loves penguins she gave him a penguin today! He took it to the zoo to see the real penguins and was so excited about that. I cannot say enough kind words about the hotel. If you are wondering if this hotel is worth it- it is worth every penny!…
Francisco was literally the best hotel receptionist I’ve ever encountered with. Positive vibes, very knowledgeable & even was able to get us in a early check in. Great kid for sure and a dope hotel!!!
Staff is excellent (especially at front desk) really helpful recommending restaurants and activities , location & price are very good as well !! I would definitely come back with my familiy and friends
Fabulous place! All service was excellent and the location can’t be beat. It’s in the middle of everything. The room was very cleverly designed and the two floors of the museum was excellent. It’s a really special place. I can’t wait to return!
We love this hotel! The art is so special and the location is perfect for downtown shopping and was convenient to go see the Lion King which we had tickets for. Francisco checked us in and was amazing above and beyond to be able to do an early checkin, which I have not experienced in so long at a hotel, and fewer airbnbs are offering these days. We were planning to leave our bags at the desk which they do offer but the room was ready 6 hours before checkin and we were so happy to have a rest before we ventured out! The rooms are spacious and very clean. I love love the art everywhere, and think the concept is so cool. We were really comfortable and happy overall. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the the time we pulled up until we checked out. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the city!…
Great and stylish modern hotel with reduced design, very friendly staff, well situated . 2 suggestions: replace carpets with wooden or other hard floors (cleaner and better for allergies), replace towels only if on floor and help the environment.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks for a work trip and it has been amazing. The concept of combining a museum experience and hotel is dope especially with the type of art showcased. It wasn't the generic "modern" art that is in most hotels, it was young, expressive, and bold art. The staff has been amazing especially Ropeall Johnson. He was helpful whenever I had question services the hotel provided. The restaurant/bar was also dope. It has a classy and intimate feel which made it a great to wind down after work. And there so much in walking distance from the hotel. I didnt feel I needed car. When I return to Chicago with my wife I will definitely stay at this hotel. Oh let me not forget the art shows events the hotel hosts putting a cherry on top on the experience.
Beautiful hotel- loved the galleries, lobby and great staff but SO loud. It’s 2am and it sounds like I’m trying to sleep in a nightclub. If you’re coming downtown to go out late this is your place. I wish they would have asked our plans when checking in or making our reservation so they could place you in a room accordingly. Or sound proof the windows. I would give 5 stars for the staff and hotel art collection but 0 stars for the stay. It’s my birthday and planned a little staycation and have been wanting to stay here for a long time. Ask for a sleep kit when u check in. They should leave in every room.
We were extremely under-whelmed with our stay at this hotel. In my opinion, it does not deserve the high ratings that it has in Trip Advisor. Check in was chaotic- drove around block 4 times before being able to pull in out front for valet parking. Front desk experience equally as chaotic- front "desk" is a table in a large room, manned by 4 staff members, all talking loudly over each other in an echoey room. Staff was very friendly but initial check in was very unpleasant for us. Room was large, but wholly unimpressive. Nothing special. One of the lamps didn't work, and not enough coffee pods for Nespresso. Pretty trivial, I know. But for a hotel at this price range? Everything should be in working order. Room was quiet, though. Bathroom large, nicely appointed. We wanted coffee service the next morning but were told by front desk that they don't have room service. Oddly, though, when the person came to bring our bags out front for check out, he asked how our stay was. We said we wished they had coffee service in rooms. He looked at us oddly and said "who told you there was no room service?" When we said front desk staff he just looked perplexed, but said no more. Weird. Overall, our stay was just OK. Honestly, we travel extensively, and have stayed in much nicer Best Western Plus's and Hampton Inn's Will not stay here again when back in Cincinnati, there must be nicer, more affordable hotels downtown. …
