Spent the night at this location for a quick overnight stay. Arrived around 9:30 pm. The drive off the interstate to the hotel was poorly lit so trying to find the hotel in the dark was a little difficult for me. I stayed in room 318 which is near the elevator. I didn't hear any noise in halls during the night but I did notice some truck noise from I-75 especially at 7:30 am the next day. If you're a light sleeper this could be a problem. The bed was comfy as usual. Love the huge shower with plenty of hot water. (There are no bathtubs at Tru hotels so if you have small children this might be a negative thing for you). Love the bright, well-lit bathrooms and the soap and shampoo. Breakfast for me was fresh pancakes, yogurt with granola, fresh banana, and coffee. Plenty of cold cereals, some kind of frozen omelet, milk, juices, bagels, toast, etc...

I will definitely be staying with Tru again!!

I stayed here with my husband and two kids on a Wednesday during the pandemic and it was surprisingly not very busy at all! The hotel was extremely nice, clean and practically new looking! We had the pool to ourselves! This hotel takes measures to make sure everything is clean and safe during covid. They have multiple sanitizer stations around and Lysol wipes to wipe things down. It was convenient to have the wipes and sanitizer right by the elevator since you have to touch the buttons. I seen the staff constantly cleaning things and wiping everything down which I appreciate!!!

The lobby was extremely nice!! They have a pool table which was nice to be able to use that. They had several seating areas where you could sit quietly and do some work or read a book. There was a 24 hour snack store right at the reception desk. There was also a gym.

The room was nice with a nice sized big tv mounted on the wall. The shower was really nice! Each room had a sticker on the door indicating that the room had been clean and unused. If the seal was broken that’s how you knew someone was in that room. We had no one next to us on either side or a few doors down so it was pretty quiet on our floor!

Breakfast was from 6-10am and they had grab boxes. In the box it included a granola bar, muffin, packaged utensils and a bagel. You could also select from the fridge which had packaged boiled eggs, packaged bagels, breakfast sandwiches- sausage egg cheese English muffin or sausage egg cheese biscuit sandwich with a microwave and a toaster for the bagel. There was also yogurt in the fridge as well. There was a juice machine with orange, cranberry, apple or strawberry kiwi ( I believe) and bottled water! Very nice breakfast selection and the breakfast sandwiches were very good! I forgot to mention there was cereal too but I didn’t see any milk.

There was a nice back patio seating area with the string lights. It was the nice outdoor patio furniture with the cushions and pillows. There was plenty of seating and even an ash tray if you wanted to sit outside and smoke.

Overall my stay was excellent and I would most definitely stay at another Tru hotel!!!!

Ease of check in was great. We were there 5 nights, and cousin's in another room 3 nights. Unfortunately, everything is still trying to return to "New Normal" so breakfast is Brown bagged with a couple of granola bars and bottle of water. Pool was also not open however the Gym did open after like the 2nd day there. Our room had a fridge but no microwave.
There is a pool table in the lobby and lots of seating nooks where one can just read or hang out.
I Love, Love, Love the total dark out shades. The only issue we had while there were the corners of the bed! You will need to take the hand towels and put them over the corner edges, as the mattress sits in the frame. Three of us knocked our shins and one even drew blood he hit it so hard. Your toddlers will need to be careful!

Tara, Thank you for your feedback we certainly appreciate it! I've passed along the issue of the bed frames to Hilton and with Tru being such a new brand they are constantly looking for ways to improve! Other than that thank you for your kind words about our hotel and thank you for being understanding during these very strange times. We are certainly trying our best to be the most hospitable we can and COVID has made it difficult! Thanks again!

While the hotel was clean and neat, the fact that your air conditioner cannot cool off a room properly is a huge miss. When we checked in the room was extremely hot since it is August and the air was off. We turned the air to the lowest setting it would allow, 65, and the room never got below 75-77 degrees. This made for a very uncomfortable stay. The fan wouldn't even stay on, the longest the air conditioner would run was 20 minutes then it would all kick off. You had to get back up and manually turn it back on. The water pressure was also very low. The soap was liquid soap in tubes attached to the wall that you had to squeeze. While this looks trendy, it is not the most sanitary method, especially during Covid times. I would rather have had individually wrapped toiletries that I knew couldn't have been tampered with. The grab and go breakfast was appreciated and as nice as it could be under the current regulations. I will likely never stay at a Tru brand in the future. A cool, comfortable room is very important!!

I don't want to make this feedback long and pointless so I will start off with my main concern/ issue with this business. Sara faith the General manager and Gbenga a supervisor are both very unprofessional individuals and were not friend nor helpful to me and also made me feel unsafe and violated my privacy. I created a one night reservation at this hotel because I had to finish up some work in the city and was not expecting to get done within a few hours. I finished within 5 hours, after checking in late to the hotel I contacted Gbenga to ask him if I could check out early and if my rate would be adjusted since I barely used the room, I dont know why but he immediately got a attitude with me over the phone and proceeded to tell me he doesn’t know because he was only a supervisor and I would have to talk to the General manager in the morning. Once I got to the hotel to grab my thinks and check out i spoke to him to get a room key since I left mine inside, he litterally huffed and puffed while doing this at which point I was in disbelief of the service at this businesses. he then proceeds to tell me I will not get any money back because he went to my room without my permission and went inside and could tell that I used the room. I felt a little violated and disrespected due to the fact that I was not even in the room most of the time and was not doing anything wrong/ suspicious for someone to go into my room without my permission DURING A PANDEMIC. (I told him to check me out, I think it was around 11 am.... he did not check me out, just gave me a receipt and proceeded to wait to check me out until 4:00AM which is on my final receipt, i’m guessing so you guys would think that I was there longer. the next morning I call to speak to Sara and I know they have caller id because I called 5 times and she hung up every time, on the 6th time I called from another phone and she pickled up, told her who I was and she proceeds to reply in this exact manner, “yea so what’s up, what do you need”. That was the point where I just gave up and knew I was going to be unable to accomplish anything with her so hopefully I hear from corporate soon. Sara Fath the “General manager” needs to recognize she is running a Hotel not a Trailer park.

This was the second Tru by Hilton experience. Both experiences were consistent in all aspect.
Fast check in and check out. Super clean room and hallways. Good breakfast with variety.
Plenty of parking space. Restaurants nearby.

Right next to a major highway, can be noisy.
Public pantry area next to the lobby where tea, coffee, and hot water are located was messy in the evening.
The wind blow from the air conditioner/heater in the room was too strong, blew right into your head if sitting at the desk near it. There was not an option to change it to a milder power.

Overall, still happy with the stay. Very clean. Comfortable of recommending it to anyone.
Well thought out shower design, with squeezable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser, and fixe cloth hangers.

A 4.5 out of 5 rating. Had it kept the pantry counter clean, it would have earned a 5 out of 5.

Tru by Hilton in Sharonville was a great stay. It drew our attention because of its "retro" inspired décor. The hotel is very new, and very clean. Tru advertises that it has instituted new cleaning procedures in the age of COVID. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good, and offered a good variety of choices. We took ours back to our room for social distancing. Our room was very comfortable. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, iron and board, and a hair dryer. The TV was huge! Tru offers a wide range of channels, plus offers Netflix. The hotel was quiet, and the window had blinds which were able to almost completely block the morning sun. There are several restaurants nearby, including a Skyline Chili, and a Big Boy's. The lobby offers ample seating in a retro atmosphere, and includes a pool and foosball table. A small store at the front desk includes many essentials, candy and even TV dinners! Complementary coffee is also available in a self serve bar. ( It was very good.) Tru was a great welcome back to traveling for family adventures!

We like Hilton brand hotels. This was our first time in a Tru. This particular location, Cincy-Sharonville, is only about 6 weeks old (mid-February 2020). We were so happy to have found this location and we were happy we tried Tru.
Tru hotels are have a modern, cool, bright, colorful, minimalist, family friendly style. The best analogy I can make is staying in a Tru is like staying in a Swedish furniture store. Complimentary breakfast, swimming pool, fun things to do in the lobby (pool table and board games), large smart TV in our room, affordable nightly rate.

I was impressed overall with this hotel. The lobby was clean and modern and the employee was very nice and accommodating when we checked in at 9:00. I was impressed that the hotel room had wood floors and not carpet as this helps cut down on dust and allergens. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was impeccable.

I was booked with a confirmed/non-cancellable 1 night stay for Oct. 6. I received a call about 6:30pm that night from the hotel stating they were SOLD out and turning people away and just wanted to confirm I was coming. I confirmed I would be coming and the service rep ended the call with "We will see you later". I arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm only to have the night clerk hand me a call phone to talk to the Manager. The manager said I gave the indication that I would not be coming and they cancelled my reservation!!! He offered to transfer my reservation to a Hampton further away and after I told him that was not acceptable a few times, he spoke to the night clerk and they found me a room (one they were holding for another confirmed reservation). The night clerk indicated that this is normal practice for this location on busy nights and I am appalled. I am a regular Hilton customer and if this is way that the hotel wants this new Brand to treat its customers, I will no longer be giving them my business. Just to be clear - when they "cancelled" my reservation they also charged me for the night as is their policy for no shows.

How far to zoo?
Answer from Sara F
Cincinnati, Ohio
The Cincinnati Zoo is 11 miles away, takes about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Our hotel is off exit 15 on I-75, you just take I-75 South to exit 6, Mitchell Rd. You turn left on Mitchell, right on Vine and you can't miss it. Thank you!
