This is definitely a family friendly hotel. Games in the lobby and great for families with young children. The rooms are modern and large and feels like we are in an IKEA store. Thin walls and you can hear everything in the room because the hallways echo. So you can hear kids running around. Breakfast was chaos and didn't see what the hype and long lines were for. Front desk wasn't really friendly but wasn't rude either. They were just "meh". If you have a service dog, they make you fill out some paperwork asking about your medical condition. It was our first time at a Tru hotel and don't think we are a fans of the brand.
Tru by Hilton in Sharonville was a great stay. It drew our attention because of its "retro" inspired décor. The hotel is very new, and very clean. Tru advertises that it has instituted new cleaning procedures in the age of COVID. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good, and offered a good variety of choices. We took ours back to our room for social distancing. Our room was very comfortable. It included a microwave, mini-fridge, iron and board, and a hair dryer. The TV was huge! Tru offers a wide range of channels, plus offers Netflix. The hotel was quiet, and the window had blinds which were able to almost completely block the morning sun. There are several restaurants nearby, including a Skyline Chili, and a Big Boy's. The lobby offers ample seating in a retro atmosphere, and includes a pool and foosball table. A small store at the front desk includes many essentials, candy and even TV dinners! Complementary coffee is also available in a self serve bar. ( It was very good.) Tru was a great welcome back to traveling for family adventures!…
The hotel is new, located near the highway, and the room is very pleasant. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. The pool has very cold water and we had a problem in our room which was resolved.
Booked a room with Priceline they had the wrong week when I showed up at Tru by Hilton I had to pay again told call Priceline to get refund they were totally fine with that just had to call the hotel and verify I had not used the reservation they claimed I checked out “ even though I was never there or checked in. Got to Director of operations Val Orr she refused to help claimed it was Priceline fault and they were keeping their money. There are too many other options to put up with bad customer service I have been staying at Hiltons for years. Never again
The room was clean & spacious the beds were super comfy, there was coffee and tea, & snack/food options were available 24/7 at the front, as was the laundry room, thet had an indoor pool (opened until 9 p.m,) & fitness center open until 11 p.m. Walmart was close by & open until 11 p.m., there were also plenty of restaurant options available for you to choose from. The free, hot continental breakfast in the morning was pretty great & the contactless pancake maker was especially a bonus!!! I even loved how they had a list of amenities & various restaurants & local bars listed on whiteboards when you stepped of the elevator for guests who wanted to venture out & check out the local scene.
When you chose to stay at a TRU by Hilton, it is very consistent with what to expect; a fun bright lobby, a small clean room, and very thin walls !! It is a cheap built budget line that Hilton recently introduced and it serves a purpose for one night stays. It is geared toward the younger demographic but is a solid choice for an overnight stay. Just know going into any TRU that the walls are really thin and you do hear everything next to and above you! With that being said, our bed was comfortable and there was a big 60” TV and a clean, well lit bathroom with decent towels.
I was able to book complementary rooms very easily on Hilton Honors. Rooms were clean with excellent beds. We liked The laminate floors. No problems or issues with the staff. In my opinion this is the best hotel in the cluster of hotels in the Sharonville area next to the highway.
Long time Hilton member, first time “tru” stayer. The Tru brand offers a modern, “hip”, take on hotels. Immediately from the lobby, to the room, this is not your cookie cutter hotel design. Lobby offers lots of comfortable chairs, couches, snack bar, and even a pool table. The mural of Cincinnati attractions was also Gram worthy. Room Itself was clean and following suite, modern. The room offers a smart tv and allows you to log into Netflix etc. Wifi is free and suited our purposes. However, they do have an upgraded WiFi service for a small cost of necessary. Bed slept comfortably. Pillows was great. Ac control was phenomenal. …. Idk about every room, but our “Curtains” were in reality a moveable black out sheet. Behind it, was another sheet that pretty much sealed off the window. This resulted in us being unable to see outside, which wasn’t a huge deal, but was worth noting. Room was odor free. Several towels provided. Bath soap, shampoo, etc all in room. Lastly, a huge perk for me, was the abundance of ice machines. Walked by two on way to my room. I love a cold drink, and it was refreshing to have one so close by. Overall, this was a much nicer stay that I have had recently, and I would easily recommend this hotel to others.…
Checked in online and received our digital key. We arrived to hotel around 9pm and were greeted with two smiles! Thanked us for being diamond member and gave us our waters and snacks. As we were walking away, ShRhonda noticed we had a child with us, so she called us back and let my daughter pick out some candies and small toys (AMAZING TOUCH!) This truly made my daughters night. Room super clean and modern. The soaps and such mounted to walls were very nice, smelled great, and it worked out much better than having the small bottles when us 3 girls had to shower. Everyone was super friendly, from the front desk staff to housekeeping. Everyone greeted us with a smile. The lobby area was nice and clean and had a pool table. Complementary coffee and tea available 24/7. The breakfast assortment was nice and had a nice amount of options. The only downfall was the tables weren't cleaned very promptly. We sat at a dirty table, that we cleaned ourselves, and it was just us and one other couple eating at that time. We were at breakfast for about 25 minutes and all the tables were still dirty when we left. Fun hotel, nice and clean. Close to expressway. I would recommend this to a friend.…
Room wasn’t ready on time so had to wait. When got to room u could tell they hurried to clean it. Room was small and beds seemed more like full sized than queens. Breakfast wasn’t a lot and pancake maker kept messing up. Employees were all pleasant that we interacted with.
