This is my Second stay at the Phelps Residence Inn and my stay was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! The desk staff was amazing! The kitchen staff was IMPECCABLE!! Tasha, Angie & Debbie were Amazing and friendly! Vana, the housekeeping Supervisor was pleasant as well! My stay was nothing short of amazing! This staff was kind and attentive and I will continue to stay here!!
We arrived a little early for our two night reservation.so our room wasn't quite ready. The front desk immediately offered us an upgrade to a wonderful suite. The entire staff from the valet, breakfast crew to housekeeping were exceptionally courteous and helpful. Our room, as was the entire building, very clean. Five stars from us!
My stay at the Phelps was amazing. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was impeccable, especially due to the friendliness of the Tasha, Ms. Debbie, and Angie (the kitchen crew). I would give 10 stars if I could!
Kat and Nicole at the bar and restaraunt were awesome . The food was delicious and they were so nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone . The atmosphere was lovely. I definitely would like to go again some day for pleasure.
Tosha Debbie & Karen they were excellent and it was nice to see a happy crew! I traveled all over the world and this hotel was one of the best stays. Only thing I would recommend is earplugs Highway road noise is terrible...
My husband and I needed a short get away but wanted to stay fairly regional so we found the Residence Inn by Marriot/Phelps in downtown Cincinnati. I am not exaggerating when I say from the minute we pulled up to the front entrance to the time we left we had an amazing stay. We were met by the valet, assisted with our luggage and shown in. We were met by the most lovely host (I'm frustrated I can't recall her name and didn't write it down but if you go you'll know her by her lovely personality and her beautiful eyes). She immediately engaged with us, telling us about fun things to do in the city. Our room was incredible. For the first time in my husband's well traveled life he said he felt comfortable. When one fairly inconsequential issue arose (needed shampoo) I heard a knock at my door within minutes and had the shampoo given to me by Kenny "Fix It", the hotel maintenance man. He was so friendly. The staff at the front desk each morning was amazing. The staff in the kitchen/breakfast area (which the food by the way was top notch) was also so friendly. I found interactions between staff to indicate they truly like working there and with each other. Not one time was anyone cross. The Phelps Bar was also amazing I will never forget the Pork Belly Pancakes made by Nicole or the amazing drinks prepared by Kat and Tim, We will go back to Cincinnati again because we enjoyed the city but we will absolutely stay at the Phelps. I cannot wait to go back!…
I typically do reviews, but I am pleased to leave one as this was one of the best the best traveling experiences I have had. Two adult couples, from Tennessee, just taking a road trip to a new destination. I was somewhat concerned before arriving as I have never been to a city as large as Cincinnati and didn't know what to expect. We received such a warm welcome when we arrived at the Phelps. I can not remember the name of the valet that greeted us (young blonde headed boy) but he was so helpful in telling us where we could walk to for good food and site seeing. He was truly a great help during our entire stay. We stayed in room 508. This accommodation worked out perfectly as you have your own private bedroom and bathroom but common living quarters to include full kitchen. During our stay the front desk, ding room and bar staff were absolutely amazing. They greeted us as family every time we saw them. I can not say how much we all enjoyed staying here and we will without a doubt stay here again if we ever come back to the area. This location is within walking distance to many attractions and dining options. Below are the names of the employees that went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable: Francis Tynisha Debbie Kat Nicole B.A. Angie Tasha Thank you to everyone and much love from TN :)…
My friend and I needed a few days away and chose The Phelps Marriot downtown Cincinnati for our destination. I knew if we were dropped off that we could walk anywhere we needed for food or entertainment. Our first impression was one of the most friendly front desk clerks, Carmen, who welcomed us warmly, answered our questions and did not hesitate to let us check in early. The next day Karen was just as friendly and attentive. You never felt like they wanted you to move on. Arriving at our room we were pleased to see how spacious the suite was. In the mornings we wandered down to the lobby sitting area, grabbing some nice chairs in front of the gas fireplace to read with our morning coffee. Sitting there for a few hours we observed the front desk, valet, and breakfast kitchen staff interact with the people and each other. Seriously...these folks are friendly to everyone, helpful and stop to have conversations if you ask a question, even doing each others job if they saw it needed attention. Angie ran the breakfast bar with a smile. She would check on us and serve us even though it is a get it yourself breakfast bar. Shawn ran the valet station, welcome station, noticing everyone and if they had a need. He greets everyone like a friend and I tell you, this man was made for the job. The perfect up front man as a first impression to the hotel. Ken was the best surprise. He would stroll through the sitting area with a smile and a song and look you in the eye. One time he offered to refill my coffee. When I stopped him to chat he shared the history of the hotel, that he has worked there 18 years and loves his job. He is still dreaming of ways for the hotel to excel even more. I thought he must be a manger only to find out he is the maintenance man. The theme I found was people working as a team, enjoying their work and each other. From that they reached out to us with intent to please and we were more than pleased. We stay in Marriotts most often and I have never encountered this level of excellence. Some Things To Enjoy- The rooftop patio has a fabulous view but it was closed for the season. I was excited to hear they are working on enclosing parts of it to be year round. There is a sister hotel across the street that is beautiful and worth walking through or grabbing lunch or a drink. The Taft Museum is block away and chock full of gorgeous art. You can walk to Yeatmans Cove to access the River Walk and enjoy a long length of that. The city connector trolley has a station within walking distance and takes you all over town for free. There is also a trolley that, for a dollar, takes you over the bridge into Covington and Newport, KY. I highly recommend this hotel for a Cincinnati stay - we felt welcomed, cared for and plan to return.…
Kat and Nicole at the restaurant were great. I got in late and they were about to close but didn't hesitate to take my order, make menu/drink suggestions and didn't pressure me to leave ASAP. Great experience.
I frequently travel here for work, and Kat and Tim always take great care of me and anyone I am with. They make being away from home not so bad. I am always greeted with a smile, and great conversation.
