We stayed one night in the middle of a road trip. The hotel was very clean. The staff was great. Our two queen suite was huge. Keyless entry, self check-in and check-out allowed us to go straight to our room after a long day, crash, wake-up, eat breakfast, and be on our way. The lobby had a fire lit and was already decorated for Christmas. This was by far the best hotel (of 4) of our road trip and left us wishing the rest would be this nice.

Hotel's Favourite
The family stayed here for 4 weeks. We had a King Suite adjoining a suite with a bedroom having 2 Queen beds and a separate sitting room. There was ample storage and with 2 bathrooms and separate sinks, there were no frustrating queues in the morning! The furniture/layout was very functional and the décor as you’d expect was modern. The Wi-Fi worked, with no complaints. The facilities were excellent, particularly the over-sized and well-equipped gym. The kitchens were functional – we could and did cook rather than reheat food. Though, the abundance of restaurants within a 5 min walk was taken advantage on many occasions. An excellent Kroger store is a 1 min walk away. The restaurant served a hearty breakfast each morning. The hot food on offer changed each day (a nice touch for those people staying here for more than a week). It was always acceptable and often very good. The “socials” on Mon – Wed are an excellent idea for people staying here for more than a passing visit or on a repeat basis. Aside from the free drinks and often great food (especially the lasagna), it’s great to sit and talk to other people rather than being stuck in a bedroom after a day’s work. Ultimately, it’s the staff that can really make it. In that respect, the hotel is first class. We were truly welcomed each day and help provided whenever called for. So, a shout out for the team at front-desk for their good efficiency and patience, John for his eclectic conversation, Toni for simplifying an otherwise complex stay, Betty who kept us fed and watered in style in the restaurant, and Alantra, who did a great job in house-keeping in challenging times.

Truly enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Location was exactly what we were look for, the cleanliness of the room and overall facilities was impressive and the ease of checking in and out via the app was extremely nice. Comfy bed and quiet too! We will return.

Alright, here's my full run-down: Pros: The first two times we visited this hotel, it was immaculately clean, EXCEPT for the laundry room, but we'll get to that in a minute. Breakfast and the evening reception was delightful. Delicious, but you don't have to sacrifice safety for it. You fill out a form, then hand it over to the breakfast attendant to package your selected foods into a bag, or tray if you chose the hot menu items, then it's handed to you so you can eat in your room. Dinner is handled in the same fashion. Note that dinner is only served on selected days, and it varies, so check the website for more info. The location is pretty great. You're close enough to the city for easy access, however you're far enough out to feel like you're not in the hustle bustle of the city. There are quite a few healthy food options to choose from nearby in the area, which is a plus. Every one of the staff is efficient, with an exception stated below. Cons: OK, so the cleaning is impeccable in the rooms, hallways, lobby, etc, HOWEVER, as stated before, the laundry is a mess. We are a large family, so laundry pile up is an easy thing for us to do. We frequent the laundry room to wash clothes the several days we were there, and the same lint and filth is still all over the floor, the same trash is still in the can, and the same dried soap is still stuck to the washing machine. It's feels dungy, and is quite the opposite reflection of the rest of this facility. We also stayed a second time the next week, and the room was still untouched. The washing machines are garbage. Side note: The laundry room was not clean as of our February stay. When we used the laundry again in Late March, it was somewhat cleaned. Two garbage cans are installed instead of one. The only issue with the cleanliness of the room (our first stay) was a faint blood stain on the shower door. It would be very easy to overlook, so I won't that hold it against them. HOWEVER. After the many stays with this Homewood, I can safely say that the cleanliness in rooms have simply become too much. Dirty fitted sheets (we're talking human hair all over plus a stain). Also, we never received any of our requested items, like extra pillows and blankets, despite the fact that we ARE entitled to special treatment being diamond members. But no....And with this overly stingy hotel, goodluck calling the front desk and asking for the items again. You'll be treated like THEY'RE being inconvenienced. At one point, because we didn't receive our pillows, two of the family used towels (you know, from the shower???), as pillows because lack of decency on behalf of this hotel. Also, an employee needs to be addressed who operates at the breakfast area. She is quite nasty and unprofessional and either needs to be retrained, or fired. I do not know her name, since she had no name tag, but she was short and had blond hair. I've already explained how the breakfast works with the forms and what not. Now to make it easier on the staff to receive our food at breakfast for our group, and to save on paper, we circled what everyone wanted and stated the amount (basically we wrote it as: Bagels, 6#, Boiled eggs, 4#, Milk, 6#, etc), instead of many individual forms. Well she did NOT like this at all, and was very snippy and rude about it even though she wasn't even the one putting the stuff together for us. She dashed all over the breakfast area, so I couldn't catch her name tag. She almost dumped the coffee she was replacing in the lobby at one point. She was not only being a snip at us however, but also the other guests, as well as the other employee working with her. She almost crashed into my granddaughter and didn't apologize for it, and she barged through in front of me at breakfast without at least saying excuse me. I don't know they're names, but the Black lady working the breakfast alone on February 8, Monday morning, as well as another Black lady the next day (who was working with Snip, by the way), both were ever so pleasant, and professional. The complete opposite of Snippy. We informed the lady at check-out of this ridiculous issue, all she had to say was, "Yes, we receive many complaints about her". Please do not let this sort of behavior ruin the Hilton brand. Another problem: why must you be run out of your room? I personally went to the front desk to ask for a late check out. When I came back to enter my room, I noticed a maid next to our room, probably waiting to clean it when we left. Well within 10 or so minutes, while my grandchildren were getting dressed, the door cracked open a little bit. It stayed that way for a few seconds, and it caught the attention of my daughter. Then the door actually did open, and the same maid standing outside stared in, than apologized with something like, "Oh sorry, I didn't know you were still in here", which of course is a lie, because she watched us come in and what about our late check out??? By far my worst complaint is, as stated before, is that this has to be the most stingy hotel I have ever seen. We asked for extra towels once, and we were refused from them, "Unless we gave then the used towels first". She even had to count and sort through every single towel in front of me before she could give us our requested clean ones. Funnily enough, even after she shifted through and counted every one, we still didn't receive all of our requested towels. Go figure. Continuing on with the stingy theme, at our second stay with this Homewood Suites, we requested before arrival that we wanted a few extra amenities left I'm our room, such as towels, toilet paper, and coffee. Upon check-in, I asked the front desk lady if our requested items were in our room. She said they would be located in the closet (?). But no, they were not. Well, they did leave the toilet paper and the coffee, but NOT the towels. Why? And with us being valued diamond members, I find this to be a bit much. The lock in the room we stayed in does not work, which is a big security issue. You literally have to SLAM the door to make it lock (Room 110). This isn't exactly a con, but the furniture seems to be of a lower quality. It's fine for now, since this is a new hotel, however in a few years abuse is going to wear it down, and if they aren't being replaced regularly, then I could see this turning into a very dumpy style feel because of cheap hotel furniture. The blanket for the beds is awful. It sheds fuzzys everywhere, especially your clothes. They need to be replaced, several outfits are ruined because of it. We always pick up the room before we leave, for comman courtesy. Anyways, we folded the blanket and put it in the closet, along with 1 leftover pillow case. Well, when we returned the next week, when we were about to take out the pullout bed, when we went to the closet to take out our clean sheets....and what do you know? The same comforters, the same single pillow case, and....no sheets. The maid who couldn't wait to run us out, decided to skimp on cleaning I guess. Literally it's the way we left them in the closet. This is what you call extra protection, Hilton???? Overall this was a decent hotel, with a some cleanliness issues, and a stingy desire to give you nothing.

We checked in a little early. Our room wasn't ready but the front desk was accommodating and we waited in the lobby for about 15 minutes until the room was cleaned. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Also very quiet. We never heard any other people. Breakfast was good and there were several hot items including cheese omelets and sausage. The cereal selection however was minimal with just Special K, Fruit Loops and Frosted Mini Wheats. The water in the show was hot but not a lot of pressure. The room was also clean and the did provide hand wipes in the room as well. We would stay here again.
