We had a great stay at Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati Midtown this past weekend. We found the customer service at this hotel very courteous and helpful. For example, we inquired via hotel app whether we could check-in early due to a very early flight. The front desk staff (Dali) actually reached out to us via the app message and arranged the room so that we could check-in during the morning time. My sons had a great rest in preparation for their tournament the next day. Other front desk crew were also very helpful.
Very nice hotel from the moment we arrived. Young lady at the front desk is an example of how to meet and greet people arriving. She was nice, professional and accommodating. She gets 6 stars herself. Room was clean and not beat-up. Hotel overall is well kept and a nice stay.
Do not stay here for travel. Had a late check in and notified the hotel ahead of time. They confirmed they would hold the room only for me to show up after taking a red eye to find out that it was cancelled. When i tried to reason with them, and find out what went wrong in the reservation, the manager argued with me and complained that it was too early to be talking about this. Completely unprofessional and will never recommend this to anyone traveling.
First for the GOOD. Clean, modern hotel. Rooms were typical of recent Hilton Standards but with 1 glaring flaw - this in the BAD below. My wife was impressed with the bathroom lighting and as a professional with over 20 years in the lighting industry the bath was well lite. Now for the BAD - bordering on the awful!!! First - the living area was under lit. A SINGLE table light fixture with a 12W, 1050 lumen lamp was the sole ambient lighting source for the whole room. I’m all in favor of energy efficacy and conservation but this was ridiculous. Task lights were on each side of the bed and on the desk but these did nothing to add sufficient ambient lighting in the room. Simply horrible general purpose lighting. Measured light level at under 15 foot candle - that seen in romantic restaurants but not living areas. Second - our TV reception went out overnight and now at nearly 9:30 PM in the evening we have only 1 channel to watch. Not a word from hotel management whom we raised the issue to early this morning. Have spoken to them twice and not one offer to move us. Third - Not sure what the room noises were early this morning but they woke me up. Although room AC was quite there were other noises - similar to water collection sumps flushing multiple streams of AC condensate from the hotel. This began at around 4:30 AM.…
Friendly Staff and clean rooms in this fairly new hotel made for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is right next to the freeway so it’s convenient. The only complaint as is true of most hotels is poorly lit rooms, especially the bathrooms. However it was a nice stay.
The food at night was very good and bartender was doing it all and was good. Loraine in the morning was wonderful food was great thanks for a good time. Hotel was beautiful, beds were comfortable nice big bathroom. I wish there were 4 pillows per bed.
This hotel is conveniently located off of I71. A spacious lobby with 2 bicycles for guest use, a business center, restaurant and bar, pantry. Julia at the front desk is wonderful. So friendly and welcoming! Our room faced the highway but the windows are soundproof and we didn’t not hear any noise from the busy highway. Our room with 2 queen beds was spacious and even had 2 chairs (one a desk chair). The bathroom has a barn door that is a little hard to close but it does completely close. The closet has hanging space, shelves and drawers. Very helpful for unpacking and feeling organized. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel and enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast option. There is some street level parking but most of the spaces are in the garage below the hotel. It’s necessary to have a car, or be prepared to take public transportation to get to anywhere commercial. I didn’t discover any restaurants or shops within a short walking distance. Downtown Cincinnati is about an 8 minute drive. Overall pleased with my stay and would stay again at this hotel.…
Very much a disappointment for one of the newer Hilton hotels because of poor receptionist service, dirty room and poor parking. If rooms have allowed pets please let the next person know that may have pet allergies. The bathrooms should be clean and not have dirty toilets and hair on the floor and in the bathtub.
Would stay here again. Ally at front desk when we checked in was very friendly, professional and informative. Family and friends gathered here for a wedding. We would definitely stay here in the future.
Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful! Needed a place for my out-of-state 19yo college student to sleep for a few nights. Marriott hotels wouldn’t budge on their 21yo min age rule. Hilton employees easily mentioned an addon feature for room reservations that allowed my daughter to checkin without incident. Hotel was clean and on-site restaurant was an added bonus. Will most definitely stay at this hotel again!! Thank you……from a Mom of an out-of-state college kid!!
