Hotel was fantastic. We were visiting for a school fundraiser and stayed over night for an escape. Hotel staff was friendly. Rooms were great sized, I wish they had either a few more ceiling lights or just more lighting in general in the rooms. Everything just felt a bit dark especially when trying to get ready. The Conciergewas just the nicest and most helpful person.
We stayed at this hotel in January 2022 and very much enjoyed our visit. When planning a return visit this January, we again made a reservation at The Summit. Everything was fine, until 2 days before our visit, when someone from the hotel sent an email that we no longer had a reservation because our room was no longer available. Hmmm. After 3 phone calls, the staff told us they had a larger group that wanted more rooms...so they gave them ours! They would be happy to help us find alternate accommodations close by, but "close by" to them included recommending a hotel 17 min away from our main destination vs the 6 minute drive from The Summit. My recommendation...save yourself the aggravation and book elsewhere. Apparently at The Summit a reservation and a confirmation is not really a guarantee you'll have a room.…
If your headed to Cincinnati no need to spend countless hours searching for a hotel stay at the Summit. It is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is professional, courteous and kind. Special shout out to Taylor you rock! Thank you for making me feel so welcome the minute I approached the check in counter. Whenever I am in Cincinnati, what hotel I stay at is a no brainer. I will be at the Summit!
Beautful, modern, hotel centrally located. Hotel has several private event spaces, and open lobby with plenty of common space to enjoy. An excellent staff with knowledge of all event planning aspects made our special event run smoothly. Big thanks to Alex Ragonesi! Starr Hamilton and Ethel Bonner Details2Decor Event Planning Company
Finally a great hotel in that area of Cincinnati! I have traveled a lot within the US and around the world and I have to say that I am very impressed by the Summit. Most importantly, the hospitality is top notch - especially coming from Kelly and Marquita at the front desk. They are beyond accommodating and made our stay a very special one! I will 100% stay at this hotel again, because of them!
Modern hotel with spacious rooms and solid amenities. Rooms are large and well appointed. Open lobby with plenty of common space and a nice library room to enjoy your coffee or catch up on emails. Pet friendly and central east side location.
The Summit was basecamp for a mini romantic getaway. Major shoutout to the staff, especially Chan, for making the weekend...special. They went above and beyond with helpful information before the trip, assistance with getting a special arrangement in our room before arrival, kindness and hospitality upon our arrival, and the same good energy throughout the stay. We enjoyed how nice the staff was at the Market (restaurant and bar) and really enjoyed the new food hall opened up just steps away. Have been, continue to be a fan. Thanks, ya'll! DEE
I love the atrium! When you open your door you experience everything that’s happening by the sound of activity and smell of food, and of course coffee in the morning. Don’t miss the rooftop experience. Every time we go to Cincinnati this is our spot!
We hosted our wedding here. The place was beautiful and modern and had an art gallery space that we really fell in love with. Unfortunately, throughout the planning process we just became increasingly more disappointed with the customer service. Over the 10 months we had a contract with The Summit, we were tossed around to 6 different points of contact. The first sales associate/event coordinator that we signed with (Michelle) actually double booked us originally. She apologized and offered us a bonus room for the groomsmen free of charge for her error, so we thought okay, she corrected the mistake, moving on. But then we were put in the hands of another woman (Jen) who was often late to respond to emails and when we met with her she asked questions we had previously answered in prior emails. At our tasting, 4 months before the event, we were given another point of contact (Alex) so you can imagine at this point we start to feel frustrated because we don’t feel like a priority. 4 days before the wedding, we were notified of an inappropriate art installation that was put into the reception space. We were given the option to cover it up for an additional fee of nearly $1000…. 4 days before the wedding! There was no clause in the contract with these prices listed, so we negotiated saying it was too close to the event for this to fall on us and we didn’t have a say in what art was installed. They eventually compromised by covering up 2 walls complimentary, but we still can’t believe they even considered charging us, causing unnecessary stress just days leading up to the event. We found out our final meeting that Alex would not be present on the day of the event. So, the person who is supposed to know our timeline front to back is no longer going to be there to provide oversight day-of. We were given business cards for the banquet coordinator (Brent) and sales director (Amanda) who would be at the event. The wedding day arrived and for the most part, the day ran smoothly. As the bride I tried to disassociate from any drama/stress and enjoy the day. We learn after the night ended that the bar was closed an hour early, when we had already paid for an extra hour of bar service. We told our wedding coordinator (not affiliated with the Summit) about it, she relayed the message onto The Summit staff and let us know they were taking care of it. When we got back from our honeymoon we still hadn’t heard anything on being reimbursed. So we called and asked to be paid back for that hour. We were told that the banquet staff insisted they actually closed around 10:30 because our wedding coordinator told them to. They only offered to reimburse us for 30 min. This felt dishonest since a large handful of our guests had said they went up to the bar for more drinks as early as 10:05 and the staff were already packing up. Why would they all make that up? How does our coordinator have the authority to close the bar over a signed contract? We were perplexed, and pushed back as politely as possible. We wanted to speak to the sales director (Amanda), but were never given the chance. They changed courses the next day and said we would be reimbursed the full amount. Happy to have it handled but more relieved to be done with this venue. I would not recommend this hotel as a wedding venue to anyone moving forward because the overall communication was very poor.…
This hotel was an absolutely wonderful venue for our wedding and the days prior as well as after. The rooms were spacious and clean as well as the staff was very friendly, accommodating and catered to all of our needs throughout the wedding process, special thanks to Alex, and they made sure everything went smoothly and without a hitch.
