This Is a brand new hotel the holiday inn express and suites. The rooms were Very clean both kitchen and bathrooms were very tidy. The personnel working at the front desk were very courteous and helpful. My only complaint and it really is a small one is that housekeeping did not clean my room on two of the days that I asked for it to be cleaned. One of those days I even talk to the housekeeping directly and she just looked at me and said she would try to get to it and she didn’t. The restaurant attached to the hotel was more than adequate. The menu was small compared to other restaurants but the food was very good. There are many restaurant options with an easy walking distance from the hotel. Try Cocktails and Pies just a block away from the hotel. The have very good pizzas! I would add that there is a parking garage next to the hotel that charges $12 per day parking while if you use the valet service it is $16 a day. All in all a very good experience. I would recommend this hotel if you were staying in the downtown Cincinnati area…
We stayed at this hotel recently while in Cincinnati. This was the perfect location for our needs. The room was clean ad the front desk staff were attentive. If we find ourselves in the great city of Cincinnati again, this will be our home away from home.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was good. The location was good, and we were able to walk to the river walk and many restaurants. You do need to pay for parking, and there is no free breakfast. We did not visit the hotel restaurant. We did use the pool which was nice. We ordered pizza twice, trying 2 staff favorites. We preferred Toppers.
We stayed at Holiday Inn & Suites over Memorial Day weekend. We loved the location, easy walk to downtown restaurants, the ballpark, etc. The hotel is nice, clean, and safe. You need a room key to access the elevators. Parking is very affordable for downtown - no valet, $16/per day with in/out privileges in parking garage next to hotel. There’s a restaurant, Spoon & Cellar. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but I did spend mornings having coffee & talking to the super friendly staff who work there. We had a great stay!
Being an essential worker, staying at a hotel does have some restrictions. In these times, I must add that this facility stands out, being one of the few that I visit while doing my jobs as an essential worker. One very important activity during these times is to be able to maintain one's health. There are only so many exercises one can do in one's hotel room , and with inclement weather, the outdoors is not available. Thus, any facility that allow their fitness facilities to be available (social distancing, and sanitization notwithstanding) would be very welcome. The management in this hotel should be applauded for their sensible approach to the pandemic. After all, if we can't maintain our health, how can we be confident that our bodies will be strong enough to handle the germs and viruses prevalent in the atmosphere ? TWO THUMBS UP !!…
We stayed here for one night a couple nights back on our journey around the Midwest. In its favour are location, cheap parking and the fact breakfast is also included. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk, so I had to walk through the hotel to the restaurant to get someone to come check me in. When he arrived he was nice enough - though not very professional - but it wasn’t the best start. The rooms are nice though definitely unremarkable - a typical sort of offering from a large chain hotel at this star category. We stayed on the second floor in a room with a spa style shower which was good but nothing special and I wouldn’t pay more for it. There’s vending machines on the floors and also a laundry room. The bed was comfortable though very high - you really have to climb in - and the bathroom was okay, but toiletries very cheap. In the morning we went down to have the complimentary breakfast. The service was good enough but food pretty poor. The fruit in particular looked to have been kept over from the previous day or even the one before that. There’s also next to nothing if you don’t want to eat meat. I understand there’s a small gym and swim set-up on the third floor but we looked at photos online and decided against it. All in all, it’s an alright place. For the $200 a night price tag, though, I definitely expected more. …
Best hotel room ever. Clean, fresh smelling, Lots of space in the suite. Food in the adjoining restaurant excellent too! We were there to celebrate a birthday. All the staff members were very helpful. Free USA Today and Wall Street Journal. Close proximity to the River Walk and the stadiums.
Our room was very up-to-date and had a microwave, mini frig, TV. The bed was comfortable and the sleep good. The clock even had a USB charging port in the back. Parking is available nearby for $12 for one in, one out or for $16 for multiple exits.
Fantastic new hotel, which continuously provides some of the most restful sleep I get on the road. Along with that, they employ excellent, friendly, and competent people from housekeeping to most of the front desk staff to the spoon and cellar restaurant. In particular, Frances, who always has a smile on her face and the friendliest most welcoming demeanor. She is an absolute star in the hospitality business and really is a part of why myself and my colleagues look forward to staying at this property.
This is such a nice hotel. We stayed twice in October while attending events downtown. Our room was super clean, comfortable bed and quiet. The shower is AWESOME! We will definitely stay again! It is just a short walk to the streetcar to get to downtown events. I like the self parking option at the garage next door. Much cheaper then other hotels downtown that you have to valet.
