Room 6, in the outbuilding, provided a shaded, cool, quiet, comfortable stop after a day o cycling the park and seeing the Cairo. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast to start an active day. Short walk to te old courthouse and nearby restaurants.

Stayed in the carriage house which is furnished with antiques and has both A/C and a fireplace. Room is not large but adequate and quiet. Breakfast was good with eggs and homemade cheese grits. Dinner was far better. Great steak for my husband and sea bass for me. Everything was delicious.

In desperate need of a break from New Orleans Mardi Gras, we went for a four day weekend trip to Vicksburg, and stayed this past weekend at Anchuca, in the King's Quarters Room which overlooks the beautiful courtyard. Our room was so comfortable and pleasant and inviting. Everything here was perfect - the dining room is beautiful, with brick floors...

Was in Vicksburg visiting a dear friend this weekend and we went to Anchuca for Sunday brunch today - one word, delightful! My friend had raved that it was hands down the best restaurant in Vicksbrg, and it did not disappoint! Given it was warm, but not hot, the three of us opted to eat brunch outside in the garden...

The Food there was very good and the People very nice. But the best Thing was the pool. There´s nothing better than a quiet, nice pool when it´s hot and muggy outside after an . accomodation ist nice, and as the owners said, the disturbance of the kitchen van had been shut of at night.

The historical context of this B&B contributed to our initial decision to stay here whilst in Vicksburg but the beautiful rooms and friendliness of the people made our stay memorable. We were fortunate in that we were only ones who were staying in the main house - which allowed us to take our time exploring. It's evident that the owners...

We stayed at Anchuca on a Friday night, and we had very mixed feelings. Our room in the house’s original servant’s quarters on the second floor was quite a hike with luggage: from the parking area, to the bottom of the stairs, up the stairs, then down the length of a porch. Our room seemed a bit neglected and disjointed....

We had a room in the carriage house. It was as musty as a crypt, the gas fireplace did not work, the bed was left over from the siege of Vicksburg (lumpy and worn out). The place is lousy with cats struggling to get into the rooms to escape the cold. The property is beautiful, but there is lots of...

Thank you very much for your concerns and helping us do our best to preserve this 187 year old property and yes everyday is a problem solving day with lots of work always to be done. I can only hope that you continue to do your part in supporting others who do the difficult job of historic preservation.

We stayed just one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Our large, airy, and very comfortable room with bath was in the wing that extends off the back of the mansion, although there also are rooms in the mansion itself. After a delicious breakfast in the lovely garden room, we were treated to a tour of the mansion....

While the title indicates "Under New Management", I don't really have any knowledge of how things ran under the old management. However, this review is about how this wonderful mansion is today. The staff was superb, warm and welcoming. The mansion is beautiful and decorated in period antiques. We stayed in one of the smaller carriage house rooms, but there...
