We enjoyed our 27th floor balcony room in the Ainahau Tower overlooking the surfers. All employees were very courteous and helpful. The location is good, across the road from the beach. The room was spacious, with ample storage space, and well furnished, except a second chair in the room would be nice; my wife had to sit on the bed to check her emails and read. There were two chairs and a table on the balcony. There is a $35 resort fee, which appears standard for Waikiki. There were only four elevators for the tower, so with Covid restrictions limiting to four people, there were some wait times. I imagine that was not a problem pre-Covid.

The hotel is my second home as a life time titanium member of Marriott . I recently visited Sheraton Princess Kailuani in Oahu. Not super luxury yet modesty n modern home feeling nice hotel. Finally the restaurant opened though the buffet was not ready . But I was so happy to see most of the old staffs are back to the restaurant. It is important to see the familiar faces . Just feeling at home . Patty ! Welcome back . They are kind n very cordial . The front desk personnels are super wonderful. Especially, one of front desk personnel Celest is the nicest person I have ever met . She is very kind , thorough, cordial and detail . I m forever grateful for her kindness I’m glad the hotel is coming back as it was before pandemic . With best wishes !

Got a lovely, clean room on 21st floor with comfy double beds with lovely linens. All staff we interacted with were responsive and friendly. Great location. We didn’t rent a car but walked all over Waikiki, visited Pearl Harbor for a full day (Uber over and city bus back), Would be happy to return to this hotel.

I have stayed here twice in the last month. Usually I stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village but facilities are too limited and prices high during covid times. Having stayed here a number of years ago and having had a good stay, I booked here again and had such a great stay so returned a few weeks later. As a Marriott gold member I received an upgraded room each time (once to a higher Princess Tower room and the other to another tower looking toward the ocean and overlooking the pools). The tower room was slightly bigger with a much bigger balcony; Princess tower balcony was tiny but still adequate. Never had an issue getting a pool chair. I did miss the water/fruit on the beach which I understand is no longer offered (and which I read about on TripAdvisor. Staff are pleasant, rooms are cleaned daily and coffee/water refreshed. Thoroughly enjoyed both stays at what I thought was a good rate. It was also nice to be close to everything, unlike the Hilton which is an oasis within itself. Evening festivities were indeed loud but entertaining. My only complaint is that you cannot bring outside beverages to the pool (I’m addicted to Starbuck’s Passion Tea). Nothing on the menu appealed to me so I ate off property.

Love this hotel, 5 stars and beyond! We like to surf so it’s great that we can bring our own boards and store them downstairs safely, ready to go by the pool every day. All the staff are fantastic especially Keilani who works poolside. He is so friendly and passionate about working at the Sheraton and shares great history of Hawaii and the hotel’s sacred grounds. Great rooms also, very comfortable with lovely views on the higher floors. We’ll be back!
