We stayed at the Sheraton for a couple around New Years along our island hopping trip through Hawaii. We had an ocean view room on the 20th floor (#2067) that was pretty average size and provisioned. Parking was onsite with in and out access, but make sure you park near the stairs that access the lobby, as opposed to the stairs that will require you to walk across the garage. Location is great in central Waikiki. New Years fireworks were obscured by the Moana Surfrider Hotel across the street. Overall, nice place to stay when in Waikiki!
Friendly, helpful staff especially Lorna from housekeeping on the 21st floor. She's very accommodating & always asking if we need anything. Great location-close to everything. Older hotel but clean, family oriented& overall good facilities.
honestly this is the best hotel we ever stayed in honolulu staff are very friendly specially the housekeeping person lorna and richard go above and beyond with the service thank you very much we will see you again soon mahalo!.
Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff! Our housekeeper, Lorna was amazing - so kind, helpful and made sure I felt right at home! Excellent service - the hotel was always clean and the staff very welcoming - thanks to all!
Have to give a shout to 3 staff members at this hotel. MICHAEL & VAL (doormen/bellmen) and FELIX (maintenance/technician), these 3 gentlemen went over and above to assist us. Michael and Val assisted with maps, advice on local buses and local shopping centres and Felix assisted to get us down from Floor 10 to ground while the lifts were out of service. What stood out is their instant willingness to help all done with a warm and happy demeanour. They are great ambassadors for your Hotel! Mahalo!
We had a great stay for a business and fun trip to Oahu. We had some great tips given to us for our trip by Michael the Door/Bell Man too. The food and amenities was great. This hotel was close to so many things. We could walk so many places very easily from the hotel.
Positives: 1. Location, location, location! This hotel is located near the International Marketplace in the tourist heart of Waikiki Beach....easily the best feature of this hotel. 2. Clean, comfortable room with a balcony Negatives: 1. The pool was relatively large for being in the middle of downtown, but it was freezing cold. 2. Ask for a Marriott Bonvoy elite late check-out and told no (which thankfully doesn't happen very often) so don't expect a late check-out if you plan to ask for one. 3. Balcony overlooked parking garage and garbage cans--would have liked a better view especially for being a Marriott Bonvoy elite member.
While the hotel is older, it was clean. Lorna, who was our housekeeper, was wonderful. She cared about our needs and kept our room in top shape. The next time we visit Waikiki Beach, we will not only stay at the Sheraton but ask to be in a room taken care off by Lorna!!
With our 9 days stay with Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, we had an excellent experience. Our room has always been kept clean, and tidy, bed is very comfortable and neat. Clean towels, supply of bottled water were always at hand. Thank you to Richard and Lorna of the 21st floor for their excellent service!!! We also want to thank Val in concierge department in helping us plan our activities in Hawaii. Also, a big shout out to Princess at the registration desk for a very warm welcome and being patient in answering all our questions.
This is our second stay at the Princess Kaiulani- absolutely love it here. It’s the best quality for price hotel in Waikiki, considering the location, walkability, views and amenities. The service has been exemplary, the staff are driven to go above and beyond. In particular, I want to thank Sheron and Lorna. Sheron checked us in when we arrived extremely early- 8:30am- from our flight from Australia. While we had expected to leave our bags and go find somewhere to relax, Sheren found us a room that was prepared and gave us everything we needed for our stay. Lorna was our housekeeper and she was exceptional. So friendly, worked around our jet-lagged schedule for cleaning, and offered us to borrow an inflatable and boogie board for our kids. Sincerely this is one of the best customer service experiences we’ve had at a hotel. The rooms are clean and recently updated. I recommend booking the Ainahua Tower. The views are beautiful if you book partial or ocean views. On our first stay in December we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded. It’s noisy on the lanai, as it is anywhere in Waikiki, but easily overlooked for the view and location. We’ll be back!…
