The staff of Ohana Waikiki East were cheerful, friendly, and helpful. They definitely exemplify the aloha spirit of Oahu. This is not a highbrow hotel which made it the perfect spot for our completely relaxed getaway. A very safe & short walk to the beach. If you stay in upper floors, you will see the beach from your room. We were in 1711, which had not one, but two balconies with views of the beach in the front and the canal behind. Bonus-the Hawaiian Aroma Caffe is located in lobby level. Their coffee is a-may-zing!! They also do gorgeous breakfasts & smoothies. Their pool is under renovation, but guests may use the pool at their sister hotel on the same block. I recommend doing that. They have the same cafe on the pool deck over there so you can get delicious Hawaiian drinks & snacks right to your lounger in the sun. Our flight was not leaving until late night. They offer guests in this kind of travel situation access to their Hospitality Suite. We were able to maximize one last day of sun & sand, then shower and change in the suite before flying out. This was a game-changer. We have stayed in many kinds of hotels for business & pleasure. The furnishings in this hotel may be a little more on the ‘relaxed’ side of the spectrum, but the service and staff here would rival the finest high brow hotels. We will be back. Aloha spirit! We are so happy we did our homework and found this great example of true aloha. We’ve stayed at far more expensive resorts-this time we added up what was truly important to us Central location, clean room, comfy bed and great price. Our room had a small kitchenette, so we bought milk and cereal to nosh in morning still in our jammies. Mahalo for such friendly check in with Sarah🌺she is kind and helpful. The crew at Aroma Cafe lobby level, hard working and welcoming🍍coffee is delish, yummy breakfast menu…so you have to wait a bit..you’re on vacation! I write a lot of reviews about places I stay at and where I visit and I will have to say this hotel was a great choice ! I booked several weeks in advance and got amazing price for the week. Checking in your greeted with a smile and warm open arm hospitality. I was also given a gift bag in which came in handy while going to the beach. The hotel is located walking distance to beach and surrounded by many local shops and restaurants! I was able to meet the manager Denise and she made my stay there amazing and was extremely sweet and made me feel like family. I always say word of mouth travels fast and I will be letting friends and family about my visit to the islands as I come here several times a year every year. They went above n’ beyond for customer service and will make sure your happy while your here! They definitely treat you like Ohana which means family🥰 Highly recommend ❤️🙏…

very friendly staff, location is perfect for daily and nightly activities, clean rooms and frequent housekeeping visits. Angie and Tracie were very helpful with our check in and check out. Only downside was the pool being out of service but we had access to the nearby pools in the area

Denise, Angie, Tracy, and United were all a big help. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. The pool was out of service but they had a replacement that wasn’t far at all. Mahalo!

Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, attentive and I cannot wait to visit again. The location is great, and, due to a fire😫, a few of the amenities were not available but they offered to use the amenities at a sister property two blocks away. An excellent spot called the Beachcomber. Both of these places have awesome cafes downstairs. Ohana's is a nice chill zone if you need to get on your computer for work. And the Gallery at Beachcombers has some smooth crooners at night kicking the RnB hits!!! Looking forward to my next visit to Oahu's Waikiki

Nice clean rooms. Was able to get a balcony with a great view. The hotel was located right in the center of it all. The staff were very warm and friendly. Thank you Angie and Jessica in particular for the wonderful hospitality.

Angie and Jassica were really welcoming and courteous!! Awesome check in! They made us feel at home and at ease!! The room was amazing with great views, it was very clean!! Bathroom is well maintained and super clean I highly recommend this place. I will come back again soon.
