The Imperial Hawaii Resort is ideally situated just steps away from world-renowned Waikiki Beach and in the heart of the city’s dining, shopping, and entertainment epicenter. This legacy property has been thoughtfully restored toward reviving its original feel and vintage “Hawaiian Style” while perpetuating the true meaning of Ohana. The resort offers five different suite types and all include a mini kitchenette or full kitchen.
The 27th-floor rooftop pool offers amazing views of Honolulu, the mountain, and the ocean. Guests may enjoy the sauna, fitness room, two outdoor hot tubs, hair salon, and massage therapy. The resort’s on-site amenities also include a restaurant, convenience store with deli, specialty boutiques, car rental, and a full-service concierge/activity desk in the lobby. Book a luau, circle island tour, snorkeling adventure, submarine ride, golf tee time, or make reservations at an amazing local restaurant!
The Imperial Hawaii Resort is committed to providing a high-quality vacation experience, and our goal is to treat all Vacation Club Owners and Hotel Guests with the true kama’aina spirit of hookipa: courtesy, respect, and hospitality.
Had a restful and comfortable stay in a one bedroom, two bathroom room. The room seemed larger in the pictures however it was very clean and had lots of extra bed linens. The room was very quiet and we never heard any outside noises from other guests. Hotel staff were friendly, professional, and helpful, especially Sheryl T., Front Desk Agent. She went the extra mile and managed to get us checked in very early. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and kindness. Would recommend staying here as it is close to the beach, restaurants, and convenient store yet not in the ‘thick’ of the main Waikiki foot traffic.
Booked one bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The balcony of our living room faces a wall and that's good because it gives you privacy. At the same time, there is no view. There was a buzz from the exhaust of the next building but closing the balcony door helped. There were plenty of towels for our comfort. The housekeeping was great. There was always a wait for the lifts as the building is high. The sunset happy hour was totally worth it. Definitely visit the rooftop bar for amazing views. The hotel is walk able from the beach and a lot of other points of interest. It was easy to find a cab/Uber. There is an ABC store right below the hotel. I wish there were more pots and pans in the kitchenette. There is no laundry in the room but you can hire dryer and laundry on level 2/3. They also sell detergent. The facilities were not crowded. Unless you want something fancy and plan to be in your room most of the time, this hotel is perfect.…
We spent a week at the Imperial - it truly exceeded our expectations. Friendly and professional service at the front desk-true Aloha. It feels like home! The views from the upper floors are sensational! Unit was one bedroom with two baths and a full kitchen. Nice finishes, and very fresh and lovely. Can’t wait to return!
Gold Crown must be based on location and not the actual resort (and I use that term loosely). The best part about this hotel is it's proximity to the beach. Easily walkable. The room was definitely outdated, but I was comfortable. Did not like having to go to the parking garage for ice or having to exchange the towels myself on another floor. The worst part was that I asked upon checking in whether or not anyone would be entering our room. Due to covid most places don't, but since they lifted some of the restriction the day we arrived, I asked. They said no one would be entering. On the third day I noticed the trash was gone. I called and they said the rules had change and someone had been in our room for two days. I felt extremely violated. All our IDs, passports, credit cards, cash, jewelry were out in the open. I called and complained, but it didn't take away the feeling of lack of trust in this establishment. Nothing was taken, but I have been the victim of fraud before and nothing has to be physically stolen to be taken advantage of. I would definitely not stay here again.…
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Check in was simple. Parking was $35/day with in/out privileges. Hotel is older but clean and well maintained. There is an exercise room, 2 hot tubs, roof top pool. We attended the lei making event for guests. There is a small shop in the store, and an attached Denny's and ABC store. Our room was a one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, with full kitchen. The room was small but we were comfortable. The living room had a Murphy bed and a sofa sleeper. The kitchen had all equipment we needed. With Covid, there was no housekeeping except trash pick up 3 times/week. Guests could exchange towels if needed. Beach towels are provided. A box of candy was complimentary in the room. The room was older and could use updates but was sufficient. One bathroom had tub/shower combo and the other had shower only. The room was very clean but smelled a little musty. There was a smart TV in both living and bedroom areas. The beach, shopping and dining were all a very close walk away. We had a rental car but it would be easy to navigate there (after transportation from airport) without a car. Our flight was late in the evening and there was a baggage storage room we used. There are fancier hotels in the areas but this one is quite nice and much more affordable. Would stay there again.…
