I have visited Oahu, so far, on six occasions, usually as a stopover on the way home from the US, and on the last three occasions have stayed at The Equus, simply due to the value for money, décor and location. I have a serious dislike of gaudy floral patterns and bamboo furniture, so the first time I checked in...

We did an overnighter at the The Equus, and my daughter and her friends had a fun time swimming in the pool, going on a Selfie Scavenger Hunt in Waikiki and watching the Friday night fireworks rooftop on the 40th floor at the Waikiki Marina Tower next door. Best view in Waikiki! Renee and her team were awesome and made...

I am in the last few days of my (nearly) month long stay at the Equus Hotel in Waikiki, and my stay here was nothing short of what I'd want from a hotel. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and caring. They made me feel like family from the first day I was here. It is not a 5-star hotel,...

According to the reviews I read, I asked for a room on a high floor at the back of the hotel. We had a double/double on the 7th floor and it was very comfortable although without a lanai (which wasn't a surprise). Staff was very good. Because of the location of the building on the Ewa side of Waikiki and...

I stayed here for 7 days on business and I can't say enough of how welcoming and professional the staff is. I love it because it's not your "run of the mill" hotel. Warm atmosphere and vibe. Trust me I travel around 300 days a year for work, and it's such a breath of fresh air to find a hotel...

The hotel's location was generally well situated and the rooms clean and pleasant. However, the rooms were pretty noisy because of traffic and some of our party had a difficult time sleeping. Overall a nice hotel, but the noise factor should be considered, particularly if you are a light sleeper.
