My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel from 12/22/21 to 1/5/22. Upon check-in, we were greeted and assisted by Naomi who was extremely helpful. After our first night, we realized we were going to need a different room to better meet our needs, especially due to the length of our stay. We worked with John the next morning (with the support of Naomi) who was able to assist us with changing to another room. As a result, we were able to stay in an ocean-facing room, which had spectacular views of Waikiki Beach, especially during sunsets. In addition to the front desk staff, Larry and Guade from housekeeping were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The hotel is older, but our room was clean and nicely appointed with a queen size bed, desk and chair, small fridge, tv and a safe. The room also had a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table. Because the room was ADA compliant, it had more room when it came to the bathroom. The vanity/sink was separate from the shower and toilet on the opposite side of the room, which allowed for more room for us. The bed was very comfortable and the small fridge was very convenient for us to store snacks and beverages. The a/c unit was a bit loud, but worked very well. It kept the room very cool, but because we were there in December and January, we didn't need it much. The hotel does not have a restaurant nor a pool. However, "Eggs and Things" is located on the lobby level. It's a great spot for an affordable and very good breakfast. We were able to eat at the restaurant a couple of times (get there early-waits can be quite long) and even ordered take-out, which we took right up to the room and enjoyed on the balcony. As far a not having a pool, it was okay with us, as we spent most of our days at multiple beaches or on excursions to other parts of Oahu. The daily room rate included beach towels each day, but no beach chairs or an umbrella. We sourced two chairs from the ABC store next door, which worked out great. We were able to live without an umbrella at Waikiki Beach, but did rent one when we went to Queens Beach to snorkel for the whole day. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Waikiki due to the friendly staff, proximity to the beach and central location. The hotel is very close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. It was a good value considering all the aforementioned.

Hotel's Favourite
This review is based on my recent multi-week stay at the Waikiki Circle Hotel. First, you can be sure of COVID safety at the hotel. They meticulously sanitize each room after it is vacated and keep it empty for at least a full day. Second, the balcony and its door are enhanced such that it seems the room is fully open to the beautiful view yet at the same time sliding shutters can be closed for privacy. Third, the staff (Chip, John, Kevin,...) are even more helpful than usual in finding alternate activities for venues closed due to virus restrictions. As always, the Pacific Ocean is just across the street, available for swimming, surfing, catamaran, out-rigger canoe and other activities ( hotel towels supplied ). Restaurants, museums, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and International Market Place are all within easy walking distance. Having stayed there more than 40 times, I look forward to my next visit to home away from home. The Waikiki Circle Hotel has my strongest possible recommendation as a fantastic place to stay in Waikiki.

Small rooms, hard beds but great location and views if you pay for the upgrade. Reserve at least a partial view or full view of the ocean to add value to your stay. The balcony was needed for additional living space (family of four with two teens; we were on top of each other). There is a desk with one chair but no table or other chairs in the room. Two chairs and side table on balcony. Mini fridge but no microwave. The street noise is high because it is Waikiki. Lots of sirens, sometimes loud vehicles and the homeless are definitely very present in this area and some are loud. There is no pool and no laundry. Very limited parking garage space so you will likely have to park blocks away if you have a rental. The rooms have no tub, only a small shower. The best feature of this hotel is its location to the beach, so it is a good choice if that is what matters most.

For the price and location this place is worth it. The hotel is old but clean. The front desk staff is very nice. The location is perfect for our first time in Waikiki. Definitely get the ocean view upgrade. I would stay do not stay lower than 5th floor though. We had room 504 and it was really nice. I’m sure higher up would be much better but they had no vacancies higher up. Worth the little extra money. There is no pool at this hotel but the beach is right across the street. Beach towels upon request. Within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Duke statue is across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

My partner and I considered several options for our stay in Honolulu but decided on the Aston Waikiki Circle. We also decided to splurge for the Deluxe Oceanfront room. Even with that premium, our rate was less than many places in the same prime location. We got to the hotel via taxi straight from the airport on a Sunday morning, intending to store our luggage and check-in at the stated time. Much to our surprise and delight, we were able to check in early. Given the design of the property, some things were going to be a given - small-ish rooms, awkward angles, tiny bathroom (with a tiny shower). But the view from the room out onto the ocean, directly overlooking Waikiki Beach was sheer perfection. The hotel did not skimp on renovating the doors that opened onto the balcony. The views of the beach and the views up and down Kalakaua Avenue were perfect. And soundproof, as you could not hear much traffic or ambient noise from the beach itself. The tv was on a dresser right in front and in between the double beds. The beds had firm and comfortable mattresses that provided quality sleep. The night table in between the beds had enough outlets for our recharging needs. A small desk with a Keurig coffeemaker was in front of the closet and there was a small fridge for our use. Maid service was available during our stay and that was always appreciated to come back to a tidy and clean room. The front desk was friendly and helpful with fresh beach towels as needed, in addition to a bucket of ice, iron and ironing board, and beach toys for the beach right across the street. There was a water filling station in the lobby that was helpful to refill water bottles. We didn't get to try the downstairs restaurant Eggs N'Things, as there was always a wait for a table. However, we made use of our balcony by grabbing takeout breakfast from the McDonald's one street down and taking that back up to our balcony every morning. The ABC located next door was also super convenient for snacks, beverages, and toiletries. Again, I can't say enough about the location. Uber pickup and drop-offs were easy. City buses were only an avenue away. The luxury shopping centers were an easy walk. All in all, this was a perfect place to stay.
