Espacio is a very special place, unrivaled service, in the heart of Waikiki. This place is truly like staying in a high end apartment. The finishes are residential and ultra-premium- the beautiful coffee tables in the lobby? They're $30,000 each. It's the perfect mix of luxury and comfort. There are 9 suites in the entire hotel (converted from 88 original rooms!). The 3bedroom layout was perfect for families as each bedroom is nicely sized and has an ensuite with a separate powder for the main living area. It gives each couple/family member their own space while the common areas allow you to hang out together. When it comes to service, there are more staff than guests - the level of service was similar to what you get on a private yacht charter where you get an embarrassing amount of attention. Service in Hawaii and be very "relaxed" - Espacio has more of a Japanese service culture with high levels of attention to detail. They had our car stocked and prepped for every outing (without us asking) and provided daily thoughtful gifts. It is a service level that is really above any other luxury hotel. We were blown away. The location is ultra convenient: while you feel like you're tucked away when you're in your suite and not seeing many other guests makes the whole experience very private but when you step out- you're in the middle of all the action. It's not inexpensive (but a lot is included like a premium rental car, airport transfer, etc) --- but we can recommend the experience enough. It really is a hidden jewel. …
This was our family's third trip to Hawaii and most definitely the best! The combination of service, luxury accommodations and location made this a highly memorable and relaxing vacation. We can't say enough about the attention to detail and service orientation of the team at Espacio. We will most definitely return, and we look forward to doing so. The most challenging part of our stay was our not wanting to leave!
Our time at ESPACIO was a top-tier experience. It began with a warm greeting and a glass of champagne and the five-star experience didn’t stop there. The luxurious accommodations exceeded our expectations. Each room on our floor, “Garnet,” was equipped with the keys to comfort, such as ultra-plush bathrobes & towels and easy-to-use tech/appliances. As a family traveling with a one year old, we appreciated the spacious living areas. Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay at ESPACIO was the quality of service from every member of their staff. Every person we interacted with was helpful, kind, and respectful. It was clear that each employee loves to represent ESPACIO. Their elegance and helping hand made my family ready to book another stay at ESPACIO as soon as possible.
I am in awe of their place & service. They can pretty much get you anything you want (which i didn’t ask much) i asked for babysitting service & they were able to get back to me within the hour for quotes. For the price of this place, yea, you have got to be important, right? Because this place made me feel that important & special. I went down to get few breakfast items to take up to my room & a staff followed me to my room & set up the table with plates & utensils. My son wanted chocolate milk & he offered to get it from the store downstairs, then he overheard my son wanting fruits. Guess what, we thought he was done when he left but he came to rang & brought fruits for us. This building has few rooms/floors. You get the whole floor, so i think they only have 12 rooms(?). Which made it more intimate because the bellman, valet, staff knows who you are. This level of service & spacious room will cost you. Sometimes they have offers, try to go through Costco too, since you probably will get $$$ Costco card. Which is what I did, because we shop at Costco often & it ended up being cheaper anyway. Very convenient place to stay, close to the beach & shops. ABC market is next to it, along with McD’s around the corner so you can order your taro pie. I was way more sad leaving this place vs Waikiki, but that’s because I’ve been to Waikiki few times already. We usually stay at Ritz Carlton but this tops it & I don’t know if i can go back! The only bad thing was the laundry, it was one of those washer & dryer combination, it was horrible. I spent few days trying to dry it & i had enough because it wouldn’t dry. They solved the problem ASAP by drying it in house but i had to rewash everything because of the damp odor. Wished they had smelled that as they fold & rewashed it. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t deter me from recommending & coming back here.…
We loved every moment of our stay. From meeting Ralph when checking in, to every single staff member at the Espacio, we could not ask for more. They were absolutely amazing and we can’t wait to return
I have never left a review for any hotel since I am a very picky person. But this is the first time I actually want to and took the time time give them a review since I feel anyone that likes attention to detail will definitely love this place and enjoy the automation and design of the suites here. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything is at par to perfection. The staff is amazing and the cleanliness is detailed. Location is perfect. Right next to the beach. In the middle of Waikiki. Would highly recommend staying here.
If you read my previous reviews, you will see that service is really the #1 most important thing for me in a hotel... otherwise I may just as well stay in an AirBnB, honestly. ESPACIO has, without a single shred of doubt in my mind, the best team and the highest level of service I have ever experienced in 30+ years of traveling all over the world. Hands down. That's how good they are. The 9 apartments -- because they are really beautiful, spacious, extremely well appointed apartments -- are gorgeous and extremely well maintained; they feel absolutely brand new. Every single detail is impeccable. Even in other brand new properties you are simply not going to find this level of attention to the details; the bathrooms, for example, are unmatched by any property we have ever stayed in, and that includes many Aman and Four Season ones -- you're definitely not going to find anything like it in Hawaii, period. Because the rooftop pool is only available by reservation, and there are only 9 apartments, it's basically as good as if you had your own infinity pool in your apartment. Going back to the service, even the valet was impeccable... we never had to really wait for our vehicle, nor we had to wait in the front for the valet to take care of it upon our return. The best word to describe all of it: flawless. Now, some other reviewers have complained about the location: anywhere you pick in Waikiki it's going to be a compromise... thing is, Waikiki is not really that big and you can walk pretty much from one end to the other pretty easily. Others have complained about the breakfast: well, the "free" breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there are _so_ many options that you can just walk to... and there's a beautiful kitchen and many grocery stores nearby... so honestly it would be a waste of staff, space resources for Espacio to offer an elaborate breakfast. This is obviously a very unique property designed for a very specific demographic and it does what it's designed to do to perfection.…
Do not tell too many people about this special place. Feels like home! Amazing service. Beautiful expansive rooms with great balconies with jacuzzis and sunset views. Could not ask for a better hotel in Waikiki. Walking distance to everything.
I hate writing bad reviews. But I try to keep all my reviews fair and genuine. Overall, a sub-par experience. Positives - every employee there is incredibly helpful and they do their best with what they’ve got. Negatives: 1. We used to stay at the Kahala, Halekulani, or Trump whenever we visited Waikiki. I have to say this section of Main Street is meaningfully worse. Within 3 min of walking in the alley behind the building, 8 out of the 10 people I walked past were either high or homeless. Also saw a drug dealer dealing in broad daylight. This is not an exaggeration. 2. The hotel is super small. One unit per floor and only 9 units. The rooms are tight and you feel like there are no amenities. You can schedule the pool for your own family, but the “pool” is maybe the size of 5 jacuzzis. 3. Breakfast is the worst I’ve had in North America. My prior worst was in Italy, but this was really sad. We went once and didn’t bother going the next two days. 4. Second day, pressed the “Clean room” button as we left at 10:30 am. The room was not cleaned six hours later when we returned. 5. When I checked in, I told them that I’d like to see if I can check out at 1 pm. They didn’t really give an answer, though they booked the return car at 1 pm. They also booked a surfing lesson for my kids from 9-11 am the day of our departure. When I returned after dropping off my kids at 9:30 am, they told me I need to be out by 11 am because someone is checking in at 4 pm. This is completely understandable because they really run a tiny operation (only 9 rooms). But it does raise the issue of a small operation. They have no wiggle room. I purposely didn’t want to stay at Trump this time around. But sadly I’d have to say I will not return to Espacio even if it was free. This side of the main street is REALLY BAD. No joke. There were homeless people laying on the ground within 20 seconds from the door every single day.…
Everything was A+++++++ with this hotel. Every staff member was cordial, helpful, and sincere. I love the doormen, as they treated us like friends! The room: It was so spacious and the amenities were top notch! The bed was super comfy and the bathrooms were luxurious, even the blow dryer was DYSON! I was about to bring my Dyson but nice to know they had that as their standard hair dryer. The toiletries were the best quality and they offer free sunscreen! We were able to use the kitchen to make meals and even BBQed upstairs. The appliances were like what we had at home, super high end and made the stay comfy. The view is beautiful and the private jacuzzi was used every night, while every morning we used our private deck. One thing though, do not expect quiet, it is on a busy tourist street - we didn't mind this since the windows were well isolated. If you're looking to jacuzzi in your private deck in quiet, that won't happen. Location: TOP NOTCH! Walking distance to the beaches, shops, and restaurants. Mugen, the restaurant downstairs was such a memorable and delicious dinner. It's easy to get to places from here and they provide a car with free parking! Amenities: The pool and spa upstairs was super private, we didn't even see another guest when we visited. The view from the pool is stunning! We also felt covid safe with all the wipes and hand sprays. FYI, there's so many amenities, I can't list them all! EVEN SLIPPERS! Service: Best in industry. From greeting, housekeeping, service and doormen, they were all so gracious and kind. We love the friendly and sincere smiles. They also offered us the chairs and beach towels that made our beach visits so comfortable. It was superb! I can't rave enough about this place. I will be back!…
