My mom and I stayed here 4 years ago, and loved it enough to go back again a few weeks ago for our second trip together. Our "standard room" on the 7th floor still had a gorgeous view, and while the room smelled a little bit stale at checkin, we just kept the sliding glass door open and it was... More

It works, nothing glamorous or appalling. Rooms were small, bathroom needed updating. Location was great. We walked everywhere. Lots of city noise, but that's Waikiki. I probably would not stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed for 7 nights from November 13-20. We had a great time. We had an ocean view on the 25th floor. It was great sitting on the balcony with our binoculars watching the surfers. Great view. We loved the elevator system. I don't know what all of the complaints were about. We didn't have to wait... More

We stayed at the Aston Waikiki for 4 nights in late October. The room was ok and looked clean. But the bathroom had a really bad smell and the sink kept getting clogged. The worst thing was that on the last day, just before we checked out, we noticed a small insect crawling on the bed. On closer inspection we... More

Just a caution, there is an Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, and an Aston Waikiki Beachside Hotel. They are very different. Avoid the BEACHSIDE hotel. Trust me. Our room faced toward Waikiki Beach and the view was terrific. Any complaints about the unusual elevators should be discounted - the sytem is super easy to figure out and should be the industry... Although situated in a great location, the Hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Not user friendly, very limited if any help with luggage, late check in, even if you arrive at 8am you cant get in until 3.pm. which after an all night flight is not good. No Tea or Coffee making facilities in room, 1 st room bath... More

My wife Kathy and I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel for 7 nights this month (8-15/11) and it was excellent, no dramas! We arrived in Honolulu at 0730 and our room wasn't ready until 1500 so we left our bags with the valet and grabbed some breakfast at Lulu's around the corner (I recommend the Loco Moco) then...
