Hotel need renovation badly. Rooms were small. There were no chairs in the room only stools. View of the beach from the balcony was limited due to the low room location. Toilet was hard to flush and water pressure from the shower head was weak. The complimentary water bottles was a nice touch. Free beach items and towels was a big plus for the kids.
We were on the 16th floor and love our room view of the ocean. Sucks that pool close at 8pm, after our tour for the whole day we can’t even come back to relax and enjoy the pool my kids were very disappointed.
Cracking paint, rusted fixtures, old and outdated room and fixtures, not what you expect for the cost and location. Pricing does NOT include your $48 daily valley fee or &53 daily resort fee. Not recommended. Only gave it two stars because the staff was friendly.
We stayed here two weeks ago. The place is extremely crowded and the elevators were a nightmare to use. But our room was the worst. Dark and not very unwelcoming. Our bathroom was like a small closet and not clean. There was built up soap scum on the soap holder and the floor of the shower and outside the shower were very dirty. Someone had turned the top of the toilet upside down - like they might need to get to it in a hurry. (not a good sign) The restaurant was good. This hotel needs more than an update - it needs to be totally renovated!
Fabulous location - across from gorgeous beach that we swam and snorkeled at daily, amazing views from our balcony, near plenty of food and shopping options, and walking distance to aquarium and zoo. The staff (especially the cleaning staff) was very friendly. We booked two adjoining rooms and had plenty of space. Room carpet and decor is dated but everything was very clean. My only complaint was that we had a few days where the elevators were not working well. We were on the 18th floor so stairs were not a great option when going up to our rooms. Overall, we loved it there and would definitely stay again. Another bonus - no need for rental car - close to all the action.
Second time at this hotel and will return and will be happy to recommend to others who are planning a trip here, would of been nice if police presence closer to deter the motorcycle and load cars racing down main strip, overall was happy again with my experience and friendly staff which I have enjoyed both times at this hotel
The hotel is clearly not the youngest any more, with some wear and tear showing the building's age. That said, the facilities are clearly well maintained, and the room had everything we needed. We had a partial ocean view and to be honest, it might as well have been a full view - it was fantastic! Our expectations were met in all aspects, and especially the check-in staff even exceeded our expecations. A great choice for Waikiki!
First the positives...It was centrally located. Near many restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. We had a wonderful view of the ocean from our room. Staff was friendly. Restaurants right on property. Negatives. It was filthy. Carpets in the room and hallways absolutely filthy. People would throw their towels and unwanted food into the hallway and it would stay there all day. We never saw anyone cleaning not once the entire 5 days we were there, The air conditioning system was old and wicked loud every time it kicked on. The ducts were so filthy all one could smell was mold and mildew. The plumbing was old the tub would take a long time to drain after a shower. Maybe the resort fees could go to cleaning the ventilation ducts and updating the plumbing.
The hotel is beachfront, so the views were amazing. It's kind of an old hotel, I think it needs to be renovated but the price is great for the location. The restaurant Tikis was one of the best in Waikiki.
Rooms were old and moldy. Very dangerous to inhale! Paid for oven view but my room had a partial ocean view. Advertising gift bags for guests but there was only a bottle of water which was about 16oz and costs 5 dollars.
