Honolulu’s landmark hotel is beside the world’s largest open-air shopping mall, and a short stroll to the inviting waters of the Pacific. Choose from over 1000 rooms, each with free WiFi and either mountain, city or ocean views. Some larger suites also include kitchen facilities. A host of dining options exist within the hotel, including a restaurant on the 36th floor. Ala Moana Hotel also offers nearly 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, up to nine meeting rooms and WiFi and satellite conference facilities.
Refurbishment Notice:
Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra will commence a refurbishment of our ground floor lobby, pool deck and landscaping starting February 25th, 2020. The project will be completed over three phases, with the main reception lobby due to be finished by the second week of April and the Starbucks lounge following in the first week of June. Unfortunately the swimming pool will be closed from the beginning of March 2020 until the beginning of June, as we transform this space. We thank you very much for your patience and understanding during this exciting project.
We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely service oriented. The rooms were clean. Pool was great. Valet excellent. Great location. I will definitely come back and highly recommend.
The room is clean . The only thing I did not get is hair conditioner. The signature restaurant is excellent in food and services. The shopping center is so close for comfort of your wallet. But it is nice to shop til you drop. It is central location of Honolulu. I can walk anywhere as long as my legs permitted.
This was easily the worst (actually, the only negative) Accor hotel experience I've had, and this is after more than 50 nights in over a dozen Accor hotels. The waits for check-in and check-out were usually an hour, give or take. The waits for the lifts were sometimes close to 20 minutes, depending time of day. Due to work on the facade, the pool was only open from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays, at which point it was overflowing with kids...good for them, but bad for me. (I just went to the hotel website to double-check, and NOWHERE is this mentioned.
This is a big hotel. It is not very luxurious but it is good and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ours, on the 27th floor, had a nice balcony and a view of the ocean. One minor inconvenience (and I've experienced this before in larger hotels) was that the elevator capacity may not be enough and one had to wait sometimes quite long for an elevator. This happened especially at 10-11 in the morning when lots of people were checking out. During our stay, there was some renovation going on, which limited access to some of the facilities. The renovations are per se a positive thing because the building is no longer new and is in need of some reparations. Notably, the pool was not open during daytime from Monday to Friday (which didn't really bother us, as we had other things to do; and it was open from 5 to 7 pm and full days on Saturday-Sunday). The location, adjacent to the Ala Moana Center and within a short walk from Ala Moana Park and beach, the Hawaii Conference Center and Waikiki, could not be better.…
Quality, complementary amenities and comforts have all been pulled back. No bedspread, no chair pillows, no spare bed pillows, no mouthwash or shoeshine cloth or Q-tips, faulty microwave. We've been going to the Ala Moana hotel every year for the past 15 years for an annual event and this was the first year in a long time that we've had a disappointing experience. The renovation to the lobby is a facade to distract guests from the shortcomings of the room.
This was the hotel where the Fashion Show was located and was perfect to stay more days for a vacation and absolutely loved my view from the room. And Diane in the made in Hawaii Eco Living Shop was amazing in helping me get the perfect Hawaiian look for me and my family for a Photo Shoot for the frames that I got at the shop as well.
My family and I stayed from Wednesday thru Saturday in the One-Bedroom Suite. We had a spectaculor time; I was running for the Ms. Hawai'i Plus title in the Pageant on April 14th in the Ballroom and I WON!!! We had a great weekend! The kids enjoyed the pool and my husband and I enjoyed a nice quiet dinner at Signatures upstairs. We would highly recommend this place. Mahalo again!
Ala moana hotel was great we liked it and we had everything from a walking distance mall store’s restaurants and beach was amazing. This picture is one of the views I took beach was amazing and beautiful I recommend this hotel.
No restaurants, no jacuzzi, no bar….the pool is only open for 2 hours on weekdays and IT WAS FREEZING! Not heated! No concierge! Filthy microwave, slow elevators….just horrible. Full of teenage tour groups and flight attendants and now I know why. It’s where you stay when you aren’t trying to relax or have fun.
Stayed one week on the Waikiki Tower. Great service on check in and was upgraded. Staff were polite and efficient. Elevators quick most of the time. Housekeeping service available daily but we did not use it. Wi-Fi was great. Only downside was the construction (which we were aware of at the time of booking) which started at 9AM weekdays. I believe this will be completed by next month. We have stayed here before for the central location next to Ala Moana Mall. The Ala Moana Beach and Park are nearby and much quieter than in Waikiki. You can easily get to Waikiki by walking or bus.
