I wanted to thank Sue for helping us at the front desk. We had to wait 15 minutes in line to check in. After coming off a long flight with kids who were grouchy, she was very pleasant to work with. We did do a small upgrade because our room that we booked was not ready and all I wanted was a hot shower and for the kids to take a nap. She was very knowledgeable about the types of rooms and what would fit our needs. She made us feel welcomed. Thank you for the excellence service!
Beautiful room, close to beach and restaurants. The concierge were all fantastic. Great valet and biggest teams. Hotel ran like a top, with a huge amount of guests. Happy hour, was great with live music at the pool. ABC store across the street had anything you may need.
The location is good and most of the staff were helpful and cheerful, but the hotel itself was a big disappointment. Despite being Hilton Honours members and having booked months ago, we were allocated a dreadfully dingy room. Even when bright outside, with curtains open it was so dull inside that you had to have a light on. That meant people in the hotel directly opposite would be able to see into our room, so curtains had to be kept shut. There was also no bath mat and no shower gel throughout our stay. The website shows far brighter and more attractive rooms for the category of suite we booked. It seems loyalty is rewarded by being allocated the worst rooms in the hotel. Apart from excellent omelette stations breakfast was poor. Different items were in 3 very separate areas which made for a chaotic criss crossing of folk carrying trays and trying to find stuff. The choice of breads, pastries and cereal was awful. Quality was bottom end for most items. If you couldn’t get a seat indoors there were seats outside but large numbers of bold pigeons are eager to share your breakfast. Worth saying too, that as a Hilton Honours member we were offered a “little something to thank you for your loyalty”. A brown paper bag was handed over which contained 2 bottles of water and a packet of microwaveable popcorn! Gee, thanks! Any half decent hotel in a subtropical location would be providing all guests a bottle of water every day.…
This hotel is in an outstanding location. You can walk to everything from shopping, to shows and the beach. The staff is nice. Check in was easy. The rooms and hallways are old and would benefit from an upgrade. The complimentary breakfast is packed. There are two omelet stations, that's it. All of the beverages and food are of the lowest quality and small selection.
The high rise hotel had a fire alarm on January 19th caused a complete evacuation. The staff never communicated to the guests in the street and lobby what happened and how it was resolved. It was the worst handled fire alarm I have experienced in my life out of dozens.
Everything is perfect in this property just a few walks to the beach with shopping just in the area, very convenient for everything. Would come back to this hotel again and again. Breakfast was so good and most importantly the service here is excellent everyone is so friendly and helpful.
the Embassy Suite provided my friends and I with an incredible stay. The location of the hotel was great - it was a quick walk to many restaurants, bars, shops and much more. Close to the beach as well. The staff was amazing and very friendly and responsive. I was pleasantly surprised by the communication of the staff, they checked in on me and my friends to see if we needed any recommendations or anything to improve our stay. Would absolutely stay here again - 5 stars!
Our family’s first time in Waikiki. Location: Not exactly beach front but yet, you can still have a glimpse of the ocean if you happen to get a room with an “ocean view”. We had an “ocean view” which is good enough. Location suites me as I’m a surfer. Surf board rentals at Big Wave Dave’s so it’s very handy as I get to keep my rental board. They provide locker for storage. Pretty central to everything and walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. Rooms: Big room, extra bed (sofa bed) was provided for our children. Room is cleaned every other day. Our designated floor housekeeper (she’s a filipina) is very good at detailing and always keep our room clean. Bring your important toiletries like toothbrushes as they are not provided in the amenities. Noise is blocked from the outside so it’s very good. Nothing exciting about the decor. Unlike those luxury hotels and accomodation that we have stayed in Asia. FOOD: Happy hour is provided, complimentary drinks at the bar. Free snacks provided. Breakfast is a meh for us. Nothing exciting. VALUE FOR MONEY: Prepare to spend a lot of money when you’re in Waikiki as it’s not cheap here. With the amount we pay for the accomodation, overall verdict is not really worth it. I guess, you only pay much because it’s near the beach and that’s about it. Inflation is really felt everywhere. Expect payingextra “resort fee” in your bill. Overall experience in Waikiki, is still good enough. We’re from Australia, Gold Coast and we have the best beaches. And it’s free. But yet, it’s still a memorable aloha experience.…
We are world travelers and I don’t usually write reviews. This hotel deserves one. Our stay was outstanding in every way. We had an ocean view suite on the pool side in the Hula Tower. Even a pool view in the hula Tower would have been great. The location is a big plus as on the north end of the craziness of Waikiki Beach and a bit quieter. Our favorite Fort DeRussy Beach just steps away. I would never consider another hotel in Honolulu- only Hilton Embassy Suites.
I have stayed at many Embassy Suites hotels and I must say this is one of thee best Embassy Suites! The room was awesome for my family of 6. The breakfast is HELLA good and their happy hour is dabomb.com!!!! Staff was super nice and friendly and the hotels location is surrounded by many shopping/restaurant options as well as the beach. Not super close to the airport, but it’s totally fine. Loved our stay!
