We went with 3 friends in these hostel for 5 nights. We slept so so badly because of really poor mattress if we can call it mattress!and noise! Instead of a mattress i had a layer of cushion for sofa. I asked for another mattress but the person from the reception told me they didn t have another one to...

Not overly clean in the showers but a safe place for travelers with a bit of sense. If you don't like bugs, don't go to the tropics. Really good about enjoying the patio as long as 11pm quiet is observed. Loved it!

My friend and I stayed at this hostel for a week and we loved it! The dorms and bathrooms are very clean and they provide towels and beach towels without extra cost (very useful when you're near the beach). The spacious courtyard is great for eating breakfast in the sun or meeting other hostel guests in the evenings. The very...

You get what you pay for....as simple as that. First, the staff seems very friendly when you arrive but once you have paid they stop being friendly and honestly they are not very helpful. Second, the place is very noisy and although there is a time limit for people to stay in the common area, parties can keep going until...

Stayed here for a week in September 2014. Location is great, right around the corner of Kuhio Av. About 10-minute walk from the beach, 5/10-minute walk from groceries etc. They offer free breakfast, but only toast and coffee/tea, which sucked because most hostels I've stayed at serve at least a continental breakfast which includes cereals, toast, fruit etc. They do...

We booked this hostel pretty much solely based on cost and location. It's a 5 min walk from where the airport bus stopped and 5-10 mins from the beach front. When we arrived there were people milling around everywhere and it took us a while to work out who worked there and to book in. They showed us to the...

I stayed here while at a wedding. The hostel was basic, rooms appeared dated and overall untidy. On my third night there the hostel manager came into the room shouting - and kicked one of the guys out. It wasn't called for. He could have waited till the morning. The guy wasn't annoying anyone. I received a refund for that...

If visiting Hawaii I would suggest skipping this hostel and going for a hotel, for the difference in price ($100 extra full trip) it's worth it. Rooms are dirty, bunks are unstable. Worst of all NO AIR CON - the most important thing you need in Hawaii after a day in the sun. I've seen the more favourable reviews say...

This hostel is friendly and clean with lockers available in dormitories, but bring your own locks. The rooms are very basic. Upstairs room that we started in had no main door, only a flyscreen, so there was no privacy. No doors in either of the rooms we were in went to the floor, leaving large gaps. The first bed was...
