The location and staff are great. Stay at another hotel nearby or down by beaches. This place is in need of renovation. The room had mold on ceiling bedroom, carpet was ragged, A/C units were moldy and bathtub was chipped and so old it was beyond cleaning. Management acknowledged they were renovating but I am not so sure based on other iffy reviews. This is hotel is definitely not meeting Marriott standards.

We were concerned that our room would have no view and the balcony would be windy. No problems. They did let us move 4 floors up. We loved it. I only remember Christy, one of the staff members. Such a sweetheart. I forget the name of the young good-looking fellow who tried to get us even a better room. Overall, VERY pleased with everything. Needed more shampoo and rinse....got it. Needed more towels....got it. Needed more coffee....got it. Couldn't get the balcony door open(our problem)....they were there immediately. So, 5 star for the Courtyard. Plus, it's a couple blocks from the beach.

This hotel is right on Kuhio with access to all the food restaurants, shopping, and fabulous waves and beaches. Plus parking your car is so easy albeit $50/day. But you have full access to your car whenever you want it and as frequently. Not easy in any international city! Location is what it’s all about!

Someone was able to charge at the restaurant using my room number. Called several times to rectify this. No one picked up. Went back to front desk. They call the restaurant manager. Tried to reconcile the discrepancy. Could not. Eventually the $15 charge was reversed. The point is what if it was a $400 charge ! How can you charge a room by giving a room number and not ask for ID. This is unsafe and irresponsible. Will never stay here again! I’m a gold Marriott and have stayed in different countries and across the USA. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The Marriott Titanium Line booked me here after an ugly experience with the Oahu Residence Inn. Nice hotel, easy check-in, expensive parking (probably average for the location), average courtyard rooms. 5-7min walk to the beach. I’d go back and/or recommend without reservation.

Third stay in less than a year. Had to change rooms due to personal choice. Two buildings. Very nice staff. Rooms IMO are hit or miss as they are small and dated. Last night stayed in PH on 18th floor. Bed was more like a pull out. Great water pressure. Large shared deck.

The staff was very polite and professional. No problem with them at all! While the furniture was modern albeit cheap, the room itself presented very poorly. The tub was very old with scratches throughout; Shower curtain too short for the tub; the sliding bathroom door would not slide shut therefore there was no privacy in the bathroom. The base of the bathroom door obviously had been exposed to a lot of water as the paint was chipped off and you could see warped wood. The sliding glass door to the balcony was incredibly heavy to open. One of the TV's would not stream. If you are used to an urban noisy outside environment you will love this place. I understand this is not something Courtyard can remedy nor can they remedy the homeless people asking for money on the public bus stop outside their main door. We should have asked for a different room...that is on us.

We loved our corner suite. The location is amazing. It was a short walk to restaurants and the beach. The coffee shop in the lobby is fantastic. The hotel responded quickly to maintenance and housekeeping requests.

The rooms really need a facelift but the staff was very helpful. We asked to switch rooms after the first night and they accommodated us without any issues. Be mindful that parking is valet only and is steep ($50+/night). Within walking distance of the beach etc and for the area the price is good. Good coffee spot downstairs, Aihi Coffee with a very nice staff.

That bus sign Which I just now posted that the corner of Kuhio and Lihue. You can walk two blocks towards the beach from there to get to Kalakaua Avenue. Some of us use public transit. That’s why I posted the bus stop sign. There’s a IHOP right across the street from the Marriott courtyard. Cheesecake factory is on Kalakaua Avenue. They do DoorDash. So is that shaved ice place. What’s really cool about downtown Honolulu, are the Oahu ambassadors, Who wear light green uniforms. One woman in particular was very helpful. The shopkeeper’s and street sweepers Can be very helpful with walking directions for the jet-lagged tourist. I desperately needed updated beach wear, and Ross Dress for Less was the place. I found a perfect bathing suit, beach sandals, And Hawaiian suntan lotion For me. I saw lots of luxury stores. Didn’t find the time or energy for those! Waikiki beach was the first place for me to get to. Good thing I brought my beach blanket; lounge chair rentals start at $20 an hour.
