We arrived at the hotel, room was perfect for what we wanted nice little kitchen area. This hotel is situated in A good place in Waikiki Honolulu, upon arrival, we were welcomed by friendly reception staff, OK they’re on the 10th floor although there was 3 lifts. The pool was quite small, but it was never crowded. Never struggled to get a sun bed and the pool was cleaned every morning, there was also a gym, which had quality equipment and great use. Staff were very accommodating, and always willing to help you in any way they can. The only downside to this hotel was there was no bar or anywhere to get anything to eat in the hotel, but there was restaurants and bars outside the hotel. You were five minutes away from the beach. This was a lovely beach and buses were easy to use and very cheap $3 no matter how far you went. You were close to Walmart, which is a fantastic place for shopping. Would recommend this hotel.…

Aloha 590paula1802, We agree with everything you noted in your review. The hotel location is close to shopping, restaurants, the beach and nightlife; close to the bus stop where you can travel all around the island on $3. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and had a fully equipped kitchenette. The pool was never crowded and the brand new Matrix equipped fitness center is a great amenity. The restaurant is under renovation and is expected to open soon. The restaurant is also expected to operate the bar in the Mezzanine, Mahalo for sharing your experiences at the Luana Waikiki Hotel and Suites. Regards, Clem

Great getaway hotel. We came to Waikiki for a short trip from a neighbor island to visit relatives who were vacationing at Waikiki. The hotel is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is next to the Ft DeRussy park. It's within walking distance to everything in Waikiki, but the hotel itself is in a quiet area. It's the best of both worlds. The room we stayed in had a sink, toaster oven and small fridge, along with serving utensils and dishware for 4 people. Great for an extended stay.

Thank you for your accolades about the friendly and helpful staff and how easy it is to walk to "everything in Waikiki". Because the hotel's location is surrounded by the 71 acre Fort DeRussy park, it is a quiet area where you wake up to chirping birds, not honking taxi horns and a mass of noisy people. My husband and I had such a wonderful experience staying at this hotel! From the time we arrived we were welcomed by everyone from Ms. Kim at the front desk, to the valet drivers, to the bell hopper Ruel! The lobby smelled fabulous every day, the rooms were clean, and we couldn’t have chosen a better location. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay there again!

Excellent service at all levels. Wonderful view, beautifully decorated, well equipped room. Free day use beach towels/chairs, wine/cheese/luau event, lei making and museum tickets. Definitely recommend/book again.

I'd like to give it 4.5 - the only reason I hold back on 5 is that it does not include housekeeping at least once during a 4-day stay. Not a reason to stay away! It is a wonderful, warm and authentic place. Kitchenettes are a plus. Decor is a tad dated, but perfectly lovely and feels like the islands. Does NOT feel like a cookie cutter large chain, and they treat you with friendliness and professionalism. It would be nice to have a restaurant/bar or coffee place on site, but perhaps down the road. We have recommended to others and it has become our go-to place. Not hip and glamorous but exactly what we DON'T search out in Waikiki. Love the M-W-F wine and cheese hour, complete with hula and live music. Staff is lovely. Gym and pool just fine too! Go enjoy, bring friends and family!…

Clean hotel & rooms, very helpful and friendly staff. Good location to explore all the Waikiki has. Air conditioning was a little noisy though room was clean and bed comfortable. Hotel parking is very expensive at this place though all other hotels in Waikiki so consider limited car hire

We feel well from the fist moment till after checkout. Very friendly and helpful people with complementary microwave at the Beginn till to a shower and changing room after checkout at the last evening before way to airport! Room was clean with little kitchenette! Thank you!

Great location. Value of the Hotel is worth it. Monday and Wednesday nights had a nice beer and wine meet and greet with live music. Food trucks right up the street made dinner easy. But no late check out at this hotel. The staff said only if rooms were available that extended stay would be possible. The hotel said it was sold out and could not give extended stay, even though websites had rooms available to book.

We are housing many of the displaced visitors and residents due to the wildfire in Maui...and they are extending their stay daily, while they wait for more permanent accommodations/housing. We booked the one bedroom suite with ocean view. The view of the park and ocean from our balcony was amazing and very beautiful. The hotel is excellent. The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. We were walking distance from shopping, restaurants and beaches but the hotel was in a very safe and convenient location. It was like having the best of both worlds. The Hi5 Tours Hawaii office located in the lobby was absolutely amazing! Yianni is a great representative for Hi5 tours. He is a very friendly and wonderful person and we very much enjoyed the time we spent talking to him. He helped us book the Northshore Food & Waterfall Tour. At no point did he pressure us and was genuinely there to help. The tour itself was excellent. Natalie, who was our tour guide was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I satyed here for a week in the 2 bedroom suite. 3 large balconies, full kitchen, walk in closet, amoirs and a washer/dryer. Could not have asked for more. The staff do a great job in keeping the room and hotel exceptionally clean. Aircon a bit noisy, but worked well. So quiet due to thick walls given the hotel is older style. We were on the street side so had a mountain view, and traffic could be noisy at times, but the location is hard to beat - a quick walk to De Russy beach (such clear, warm water and never crowded), food trucks down the road, well priced restaurants a block away (incl. a great local Thai restaurant), ABC store across the street, Waikiki Trolley stops nearby and a nice pool (just wish there was a bit more shade - 2 cabanas were impossible to secure. Perhaps 2-3 umbrellas would be good, but the wind may prevent this). Rocking chairs out the front are great to finish the evening on as you watch the city wind down. Highly recommend this hotel.…
