Not value for money on the room we were promised. Carpet filthy and stained. We were forced to change rooms due to a shower leak and were actually downgraded instead of upgraded. Owners did not seem to care about our inconvenience.
We stayed in one of the studio suites but its very spacious. 2 king sized beds and one sofa convertible to a bed. Kitchen is equiped. Ocean and pool view balcony with table and chairs. Adjacent to Hilton Hotel. Near the marina. You can have nice long walks along the beach, can go hotel hopping.
Nice location. Strangely the door was very heavy, hard to open. While room is dated, accommodations were comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel restaurant was too small for hotel, didn’t take reservations for breakfast so wait was 2 hours.
Go elsewhere or stay home. Problems at check-out that remain unresolved. Better that you stay at a newer property nearer to the action. Very dated and dirty. Horrible bed and pillows. This property needs an overhaul badly.
Although the hotel is a little older compared to other hotels, it is comfortable and close to Ala Moana Centre and Waikiki. This was our first time to Hawaii and we really enjoyed it. The people in Hawaii are nice and friendly and have the "Aloha spirit" (but not as much at this hotel where we felt like some of the staff didn't really want to be there). Since we are a family of five, we stayed at a two bedroom, two bathroom suite for 7 nights. They cleaned once in between but did not replenish all the toiletries and amenities (like toilet paper); so, cleanliness is not up to par compared to other hotels. Overall, an average to good rating.
