Hotel was relatively inexpensive it was close to the beach and to all the other areas that I wanted to go to. I travel to this location years prior and I still keep going back to the same place that I like
This hotel is literally right next to some of the more expensive properties (most of which are packed cheek to jowl within a couple blocks' walk of the beach). Yes, the bathroom in particular could do with a renovation and the hallways were tired, but everything was clean and well-kept, the location is excellent, the hotel felt safe and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not for those in search of luxury or catering, but I don't need much more than the basics, so I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit. Parking was a challenge -- there is a tiny little parking garage under the hotel and two or maybe three spots on the street. Free parking is available near the zoo, but that's enough of a walk that paying $30 to park for one night didn't seem unreasonable. If you'd rather park for free and walk, you always have that option. Heads up: The walls are very thin, so you can expect to hear the TV or any loud discussions from next door. …
If you’re looking for the combination of quiet, close to beach and restaurants, this is the place. Great food trucks and great restaurants. Great location. Free tickets to bishops museum and the Honolulu art museum.
I was looking for a hotel that fit within my budget and clean and suitable. Ewa Hotel Waikiki met my expectations. It was affordable with all the access of Waikiki that any other hotel had for less. Customer service was exceptional and room was clean to my satisfaction. The supervisor Evan gave me an upgrade with a lanai and was happy with my room and stay. I couldn't have asked for anything else. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
For the price you can't get a better location and it was at least $50 cheaper than the next cheapest hotel in the area that you can book online. Be advised that many of the rooms have no balconies, which is uncommon in waikiki. Staff was very kind when you could find them. Some of the cheapest hotel parking in waikiki. Pretty rough around the edges, but similar to similarly priced hotels in the area to be fair.
I loved my short stay at the Ewa Hotel. The room was clean and equipped with the expected supplies. The air conditioning was nice and cold and blocked any noise from the street or nearby buildings. The location is fantastic - a short walk from the beach, zoo, and restaurants. The actual street the hotel is on looks a bit sketchy, it's full of older apartment buildings, but I liked the hominess of having Waikiki residents around me. The staff was great, helpful, provided extra blankets and supplies upon request, full of aloha.
The help desk administrator, Tracy was one of the most kind and helpful people I’ve ever met on a trip! He had very friendly service and was extremely reliable to assist me and my partners! He went above and beyond to say the least! I recommend coming here for anyone who needs somewhere to have a quiet and relaxing stay especially for singles! I came do some work in Hawaii and this is a great location in Waikiki.
The location is superb, near the Honolulu Zoo, quiet, and walking distance to Waikiki. Budget hotel, you got what you paid for, nothing fancy, small room, basic amenity. All the hotels in Hawaii charge resort fees which should be built into the hotel daily rate which gives you the wi-fi (we have our own data(, coffee packs (never used), and a microwave in the room (never used once). Are these amenities worth the $18 extra daily charge? Having said that, it is still one of the lowest priced hotels in the area. We stayed from Apr 26 - 30, 2022, the hotel is very basic, but serves the purpose. Neighborhood is quiet safe.
Hotel staff avoided you just so they won't do anything for you. We asked 3 separate times for room cleaning. None ever came. Terrible service honestly. I don't ever want to stay here again. You missing the ALOHA SPIRIT!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this quaint hotel in the hear of Waikiki. We could see Diamond Head from our patio where we enjoyed a light breakfast and coffee each morning.
