The Hilton is a 5 star resort in Waikiki. The amenities of pool and work out facility are excellent. The one bedroom unit we had was large and having a full kitchen was great so we could cook our own meals. The resort is near the bus stop and walkable to lots of dining and shopping. Staff is wonderful and attentive to all our needs!

First time staying here. There was a leak in our kitchen sink but that was fixed even though it took a while (a couple hours of maintenance people in the kitchen) on the day we checked in. The property is beautiful, good amenities, and convenient being in the Hilton Hawaiian village but man it was crowded. I don’t know what it’s like other times of the year but it’s hard to find a seat in the pool area. Beach is also crowded - we just went right outside of the village and rented chairs and umbrellas with Dive Oahu and the beach there was way less crowded and relaxing. Waikiki is crowded everywhere I suppose, but other places were not as crazy - we stayed on modern Honolulu (just one building away from grand waikikian) for a few days prior and that was actually way more our pace.

Everyone in Waikiki, Oahu, beware of this hotel, it is absolutely terrible! As a classic and well-established resort hotel, they had a medical emergency and did not take any immediate measures, none at all! I rented a towel by the pool and there was a bee on it. It stung me directly, causing intense pain like I've never experienced before. It was a huge bee, and I had to flick it off and remove the stinger with great effort. It was so painful that I cried uncontrollably. Since this is a large resort with five pools, we walked around for a long time, but no staff member could give us the right direction. Everyone was passing the blame. It took me over half an hour just to walk around, enduring the excruciating pain, crying, and searching for a doctor. Unfortunately, I soon realized that my expectations were too simple. Not only could I not find a doctor, but I couldn't even find a single staff member who would apologize! Finally, I managed to call a security guy, who lazily leaned on a table with a smug expression and kept asking me, 'What do you want?' He constantly shifted the blame, saying they couldn't do anything, and they couldn't control the behavior of bees. What kind of ridiculous statement is that? I have never heard such absurdity in my life! When I went to the front desk to find the manager, it was the same story. Their first reaction was to refer me to the security guy, and they also continuously shifted the blame. They have a medical room, but the doctor hasn't been working for two days, so it's empty. Moreover, it closes at two or three o'clock. So, I asked them what they would do if a customer had an emergency medical situation at night. They said they could only help me call 911. What?! Is this how a well-established hotel should provide service? They have absolutely no service spirit! Everyone, beware and avoid this place, escape quickly!!

Beautiful property, wonderful location, great accommodations. Would love to go back but using an Exchange Service like RCI this property doesn't come up very often. Will set up an ongoing search to go back to this property.

Our family of 12 spent 5 nights/6 days at the grand waikikian and had a wonderful time! We utilized Charley's taxi service for pickup and drop off from the airport. $36 flat fee for each van that fit 6 people each. We called as soon as we arrived and had our luggage and they were there within 5 minutes. Check in: We are HGVC members. Check in was seamless and quick. One of the members could have been more personable but still did their job and answered all our questions. They were quite persistent on us doing an owners update as well but eventually heard our no. When we arrived our rooms weren't ready but you are able to store your luggage and start using the amenities right away! Rooms: Clean. great air conditioning, overall well kept. There is a safe and a great coffee maker. My only minor complaint is the lack of cooking pans. There was only 1 pan and 1 pot in each room. With a Sunday check in and Friday check out we got housekeeping once on Wednesday. It's a BUSY resort for sure. Several towers and lots of families. The village has a lagoon, beach area, and several pools that are a quick walk from the Grand Waikikian tower. All the staff was kind and pleasant with every interaction. We experienced zero issues on on the resort grounds! The pools are well maintained but also quite busy and tough to get a lounge chair. We had the most luck very early in the morning and later afternoon/evening. Be prepared to rent umbrellas and chairs at the beach. Food and drinks at the resort are quite expensive. We ate on site once as there are lots of other places within a short walk or Uber ride away. We did not rent a car but would recommend it if you plan to travel far from the resort area to the north shore or anywhere further outside of the area. We met many people that did. We visited several beaches all great and beautiful. Very easy to get to using Lyft or Uber. There is a target (we shopped there day 1) and several abc stores within walking distance and a mall as well. We booked the Pearl Harbor and Historic Honolulu City Tour departing Waikiki Hotels with Aloha sunshine tours. We had to take a short walk for pick up at the Grand islander but overall was a good tour for the price. We booked the Chiefs Luau, 10/10 and pick up was also close to the resort and just a quick walk. Overall a good resort and great for families and if you want the hustle and bustle of a vacation. We have also visited the big island and for us that was much more peaceful and less busy!

Nicely appointed 2-bedroom condo with a view of the ocean and overlooking the luau. There are nice pools, restaurants, and amenities nearby. The beach is beautiful and we really loved the lagoon where you can rent water bikes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. Another unique part of our stay was the Friday night fireworks. The Hilton rainbow tower is an iconic part of Waikiki so it was fun to be a part of that. Our only challenges were finding chaises by the pool, finding shade by the pools, and we were sorely disappointed to find out that you have to pay over $100 a day for 3 chaises and a umbrella on the beach. We went to a nearby Walmart to get our own umbrella and just laid out on our towels. We managed to have a great time inspire of these challenges. So glad to have gotten to experience Waikiki’s most iconic resort.

Very crowded resort, totally lacks the Aloha spirit, not a single employee mentioned the word Aloha and lacked the Aloha spirit compared to our last visit, which was quite disappointing as we wanted to experience the amazing Hawaiian culture again. The resort is quite beautiful however the pools are super crowded and doesn’t match the size of the resort. Wouldn’t recommend more than 5 days as this resort is secluded from the main area. The positives include: Music at the tapa bar is nice! The property is beautiful! Friday Fireworks! The Lagoon!
